After that two hours getaway drive from Darkmore Hospital, we finally arrived at Grazer’s family safe house.
Katamtaman lang ang laki nito at mukhang malawak yung loob kumpara sa mga safe house na nakikita namin at sa mismong hide out nila.
Grazer opened the gate as Collin drove the van inside their garage. Isa-isa kaming bumaba rito at kinuha yung mga gamit sa likuran para dalahin sa loob.
Sobrang gaan ng pinadala sa akin kahit kaya ko naman magbuhat ng mabigat na gamit. Hindi na ako nagreklamo kasi baka may umusok ang ilong dito.
“Let’s stay the night in, delikado na kung gagala pa tayo sa ganitong oras” sabi ni Collin at nagpaalam pa kay Grazer na abala sa pagkuha ng pagkain.
“Bakit pa ba kayo nagpapaalam? pinapasok ko na nga kayo sa loob eh” Grazer said with sarcasm. We chuckled and thanked her for driving us to a safe place like this.
The whole living room went quiet, the only thing that I could hear is the sound of plastics and paperbags rustling with their footsteps tapping on the floor.
I sat down next to Grazer as she offered some sandwich to me. I obliged and took it before taking a small bite of it.
“You guys should eat and drink plenty of water. After niyo kumain, make sure to clean your bodies” Millan told us before handing us the paperbag consisting of sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, soap body wash and at ibang hygiene products to clean our body’s skin.
“Millan’s right, stay hydrated and clean yourselves after kasi galing tayo sa isang lugar na puro infection ang dala ng hangin” pahabol nitong si Ate Jacen, if I remembered that was her name when Stormy mentioned it earlier.
Tumango na lang kaming lahat at sinunod ito. Kailangan din namin mag-ingat sa mga katawan namin kasi baka kung anong klaseng bacteria na ang dumikit dito.
“By the way, where’s Ate Mavis?” tanong ko sa kanila habang hinahanap si Ate Mavis sa loob.
“Nagsusuka” Grazer said nonchalantly. “Diba nga kina-” di ko na pinatapos katabi ko at sinubuan siya ng tinapay sa bibig.
“Oh tama na, nakain tayo diba? baka pati ako masuka pag tinuloy mo” biro ko sa kanya kasi hindi talaga ako makakalunok tuwing maririnig ko yun.
“Maya niyo na lang pag-usapan yan pagtapos kumain ng lahat” pahabol ni Ate Collin before we started eating.
TIME SKIP ( 7pm )
I sat down at the couch sa living room since may pag-uusapan pa raw kaming lahat.
“Have you washed your body na?” I don’t think the question was only meant for me but I did nod at Ate Terri.
Nakita ko naman na sumagot si Stormy at ang kaibigan niya. Kaibigan nga ba? they don’t even look like friends because their actions says otherwise that they are more than that.
“Uhm I don’t wanna sound rude but are you both friends with Millan?” I asked Ate Jace and Stormy who’s sitting across me.
They both smiled and it warmed me kasi akala ko masungit sila pareho, even though halata naman sa ugali ni Stormy na bubbly ito.
