⚠️. Grazer’s POV

I stared at the front in horror whilst a huge zombie aggressively jumps behind Asteria as she tries to stand up.

I couldn’t move at my spot, natulala ako bigla sa mga nangyayari not until Millan pushed me to side and I was taken aback from what was actually happening.

“LEAVE HER ALONE!” rinig kong malakas na sigaw ni Mills sabay tumakbo sa harapan ni Asteria para harangan ito sa zombie na bumungad mula sa likuran niya.

We stood there watching Millan slash the monster’s head in full force as the zombie’s body fell down beside them.

Asteria covered her body out of fear but luckily, Millan was quick to take action and had enough time to save her from being attacked by those undeads.

“Uh guys, dumadami sila...” bulong ni Mavis sabay hawak kay Collin. I steadied my shotgun and hid Sage behind me as Collin and I stood in front of them.

“Mills! Terri! Tara na!” sigaw ni Collin habang hinintay namin yung dalawa na tumatakbo na sa amin. Nung malapit na sila sa amin ay biglang may humablot sa paa ni Millan kaya bago ako mataranta ay agad akong kumibo.

I shot the zombie right into its head as Millan continued running away from it before the others could stall her.

As both of them got back to our spot, panicked surged inside us because this is not what we expected when we left that goddamn building. Hindi naman namin aasahan na aabot kami sa ganito lalo na at maaga pa tsaka wala pa yung araw.

Medyo madilim pa rito o sadyang madilim talaga sa lugar na ito kaya naririnig lang namin silang nag-iingay, pero alam din namin na nakapalibot na ito sa amin.

“God, I didn’t know na mas lumalabas sila sa ganitong oras!” Cole’s upset tone alerted some of them and I told her to quiet down kasi nga mas delikado na alam nila kung saan nang-gagaling yung ingay namin.

We ran away from the sight of these flesh eating monsters before they could attack us one by one. We were at the verge of losing our breaths from too much running that we had to stop for a while.

“Wala na ba nahabol? I think we lost them..” Jacen trails off but we’re still wary of our surroundings.

I wandered my eyes around trying to see if they were still at us and perked my ears in every corner. This place is full of trees and the streets are burned into ashes even the abandoned houses.

A lot has happened already during the past few days of the zombie outbreak. We didn’t notice how much everything has changed around here, the whole city in chaos and facing its downfall.

“Sandali, nandito na pala tayo?” tanong ni Mavis at naglibot kami and she’s right.

Ito na yung laboratory ng De'Clan, ibang iba na rin itsura nito kumpara noon. We stared at the building and it felt like years since we last seen this place.

“They burned it down but why..” I said unable to speak the rest of what’s coming out of my mouth just by seeing the crashed laboratory burning in ashes.

Collin cursed under her breath, obviously cursing Cameron’s name and Mavis calming her down. Millan just stood there in the front, seeing this might’ve made her think, that those what ifs on her mind are starting to get real.
