⚠️. Mavi’s POV

“Bakit kaya nandito si Jao? what’s his connection with your brother?” mahinahong tanong ni Collin kay Grazer na ngayon ay nagluluksa pa rin sa pagkawala ng kapatid niya.

We didn’t expect things like these to happen kasi una sa lahat, sobrang random na nandito si Jao at saka wala naman kinamalayan kapatid ni Grazer sa nangyayari if ever it was about the spreading virus caused by De'Clan.

“Alam niyo duda talaga ako nung unang araw na pinasok si Jao as assistant ni Mills eh” Collin spoke while scratching her head like she was thinking about this whole situation.

I did the same. Something just doesn’t sit right with Jao’s first appearance in our laboratory. At higit sa lahat, si Cameron ang nagpadala rito as new assistant ni Millan kaya ang gulo lang para sa amin.

I was about to speak again not until Millan stood up and faced us.

“Now that you mentioned Jao was sent by Cameron herself, maybe he was the one who took the samples from the cabinet that day” Millan explained to us with a look of determination written on her face.

Now that we remember what happened that day, si Jao nga lang talaga walang alam about sa samples na yun dahil baguhan ito.

Pero mukhang totoo nga na siya rin ang nagtangkang kumuha nito para palabasin lang na si Millan o si Collin ang may kasalanan.

This was all planned by Cameron!

“Mills, I think Cameron planned everything from the start! They sent Jao as your assistant para manakaw yung samples sa experiment room mo, knowing na assistants and workers mo lang may access dito and para masira image mo”

The room then went silent as if I dropped a bomb at the middle of our conversations. My eyes lingered between Collin’s eyes fueled by anger and to Millan’s eyes filled with disappointment.

Millan took Collin out of the room at naglakad ang dalawa patungong kusina na walang imik.

Hindi na namin sinundan kasi alam namin may pag-uusapan lang ang dalawang ito patungkol sa kagaguhan ni Cameron.

Anak talaga ‘yan ng puttanesca!

Jacen cleared her throat loud enough for the rest of us to hear.

“I guess this Cameron person is really something no? like, bakit niya nagagawa ganito knowing maraming tao ang madadamay diba?” tumango ako sa sinabi ni Jacen.

Para siyang nagkatawang demonyo na pinatira sa lupa para lang ubusin ang mga inosenteng nakatira rito at talagang kasama pa niya ang sarili niyang lahi sa kababalaghan niya.

“Naisip ko lang, is Cameron is a high authorized person? if yes, it’s possible na she’s working for someone na mas mataas position..” napa-isip kami bigla sa sinabi ni Grazer.

Since she once work in the military, talagang maiisip niya ito because working with people na may mataas at mas malaki ang social hierarchy status, means you’re working under people with higher positions like the President.

“Posible rin na tauhan na siya ng gobyerno kaya nauutusan niya kahit sino para masira kami” Collin said appearing from the kitchen.

“Grazer is right, I think the De'Clan’s are working for the President who takes down scientists and virologists” si Millan naman ang umimik at may bitbit itong envelope.

“Para saan yan?” tanong ko sabay turo sa hawak niyang envelope. She just stared at it tapos ini-abot sa akin.

I took out the papers inside and scanned it. It’s about the cure, it consists of anti-biotics and chemicals for the medicine that they were planning to create.

Millan did not joke about forming an alliance or planned with Collin rather, in the first place and she’s really determined to create one for the sake of the people around her.

“How are you guys gonna do this? ni wala nga kayong gami-” Grazer cutter me off by putting her huge military bag in front of my face.

I was confused yet intrugued at the fact that alam ni Grazer gagawin nung dalawa. Ipinakita niya pa sa amin kung ano laman nung bag and I was amazed at how they really came prepared.

So after all this time, hindi pala mga baril or like bala ang laman ng military bag niya kundi yung laboratory equipments nina Collin at Mills.

And that also explains kung bakit laging pinapatawag ni Mills si Raze, may alam pala ito sa gagawin nila at mas namangha ako kasi nagawa itong sundin ni Grazer who’s never interested in any of this.

“How many days will that take? if matatagalan then that means dito muna tayo, right?” I asked again because I cannot stay still knowing our situation would jeopardize the rest of our journey once this is all done.

“It’ll only take a day okay? We promise that after this,  we will go to a better and much safer place, far from where this chaos had started” Collin reassured me enough, washing away both of my worries and doubts.

I walked to my lover and embraced her in a tight hug that it feels like I am already at home. Peace is with me whenever I am with her, for she is the calm after my storms.

On a peripheral view, I saw Asteria walking towards Millan. They did not waste any time and did the same display of affection and comfort towards each other.

“You both promised, so we promise to lend you a helping hand whenever you need it too. We’re in this together okay? tayo ang magtutulungan hanggang dulo” I heard Asteria say as Millan only nodded in return and gave her a comforting squeeze.

“Wow, talagang sa harap pa namin kayo nag-moment!” napatigil kami sa kadramahan namin nung sumingit sa gitna si Grazer na parang naiinis na natatawa.

I forgot hindi lang kami ang tao rito at may iba pa kaming kasama kaya napahiya ako medyo. Nasanay lang kasi akong affectionate in public kapag mga kaibigan ko ang kasama ko, pero hindi ako sanay kapag ibang tao na ang nakakakita ng ganitong sides ko.

“Pero hey! Asteria is right, nandito lang din kami kapag kailangan niyo ng tulong ha? walo tayo hanggang dulo!” imik ni Jacen sabay bigla kaming niyakap lahat at kahit si Grazer na hindi mahilig sa ganito ay napilit niya.

“Oh, tama na yan! magsisimula na kami ni Millan sa basement kasi sabi ni Grazer nandun daw ang mga gamit ng kapatid niya” tumango na lang kami at hinayaan muna sila sa experiment na gagawin nila.

We just told them to simply call out for us if ever they needed help but since both of them are skilled researchers, mas mapapadali kung sila lang talaga ang tatapos nito kesa yung kasama kami tapos magulo lang.

Even though I work with both of them, ni minsan hindi ko pa naisip na makakatulong ako sa ginagawa nila. I think of the possible outcomes if ever I lent them my help or they might sense that I am a responsibility if I meddled with them.

We gave them their needed leisure time on doing the medicines as the rest of us only lended our support to Millan and Collin.

Ilang oras din kami maghihintay pero ayos lang hangga’t hindi delikado ang sitwasyon namin ngayon.

Hopefully, this will end soon and I hope whatever experiment they are making will be successful enough to be a hard slap to Cameron’s pathetic bitch face.

I really hope na makagawa sila agad para may ihaharap sila sa De'Clan at tanging yung gamot ang magpapatunay na sana, sana hindi nila tinuloy mga plano nilang puro kademonyohan.

This wouldn’t even happen if Cameron is not envious of what Millan had. Everything would be under control if only Cameron accepted the fact that Millan will always be the best virologist to ever exist.

Yet, Cameron had put it all to waste, wasting both Collin and Millan’s prowess of creating a medicine, the source that will cure every mankind’s lives that Cameron once ruined and took out of evil, envy and greed.

Kapag natapos ang lahat ng ito, I’ll make sure that Cameron herself will pay the prize of everything she ruined including our lives caused by her miserable plans.
