⚠️. Millan’s POV
“Breaking news report, one of De'Clan’s co-workers accidentally leaked an information about the contagious disease spreading around the cit—”
Before we could finish the news, the screen was turned off by Collin herself. She walked back and forth, unable to stay still from her spot as Mavis, my personal assistant and her lover, scoffed at her actions.
“What? It’s about De'Clan” Collin states as I continued preparing my projector because we have a private meeting with someone.
“Alam naming si De'Clan yun kakasabi nga lang diba? pero bakit ba hindi ka mapakali dyan?” Mavis retorts back at Collin who’s now fuming with annoyance because of the mentioned name.
Well, let’s just say De'Clan always have under her dirty sleeves and we are not the least most glad of it. Whatever the devil wants, she gets everything and we are just bunch of her lab rats working to death.
“Grazer is on her way here, please ready my x files” I informed my personal assistant, automatically ignoring their small banters.
“Wait lang boss maam” Mavis said before grabbing the files from my office. Collin followed her but then stopped midway.
In a peripheral view, I saw Collin playfully slapping Mavis before kissing her forehead as she leaves the room. I just rolled my eyes at the sight, it’s not new to me either because I’m used to it.
“Bitter much?” Collin chuckled and gave me a small headpat like she was teasing me. “Not really, kadiri lang kasi in front of me pa talaga” I joked before the whole room emitted into small giggles from the both of us.
Mavis then came back holding my x files. Sa sobrang dami nito ay hindi ko natiis na hindi siya tulungan dahil kita naman sa itsura niyang hirap na hirap na sa pagbitbit nito.
“Inutusan mo pa eh tutulungan mo rin pala” Collin said to me na kala mo ay hindi rin natulong. I rolled my eyes at her as Mavis did the same.
“Excuse me? at least I’m doing my job” ani ni Mavis bago ito tumawa at tinawanan si Collin na naiinis na naman. No matter how playful Mavis is, there’s always this side of Collin who gets mad out of nowhere but the main reason is always her girlfriend.
We’ve been friends for years, the three of us along with Grazer and Asteria. We never stayed in the same city nor country but nothing could ever break the bond we have, no matter whatever chaos awaits us.
By chaos, I meant the whole city of Cresthaven’s already in a dilemma caused by the menace of Cameron’s people doing illegal experiments and affecting the city with an unknown disease spreading around it.
“Huy nandito na si Raze, pagbuksan mo nga Mav” we turned our heads at the door as Mavis opened it, greeting the latter while I asked her to come inside and join us.
