We got to the lake but the whole ride was so silent and you could cut the tension with a knife. Ace stole glances at me from time to time but I was too fucked up emotionally to analyze his actions. We got out of the cab and he reached for his wallet.

"No let me pay." I said and took out my own purse.

"Nonsense." He gave me look of seriousness and gave the cab a 100 dollar bill.

"Keep the change." He said. I tried to not gape at him. When we got out he took my hand and we walked silently along the lake.

"Sage." He said and stopped.

"Yes?" I asked while he stared into my eyes.

"Do you want to talk about what happened in the cab?" He raised an eyebrow. I shook my head and started walking again. Why is he so interested? It's not as if we have a serious thing going on. He sighed and followed after me.

"Do you want something to drink?" He asked.

"A glass of champagne would be nice." I said and reached out for my purse.

"Stop doing that. It's so annoying." He said and scoffed.

"Whatever." I said. We got drinks and sat on a bench overlooking the lake. Mostly he talked about his experience as a professional paintball player and he made a lot of jokes that were actually funny. Sometimes he asked me personal questions like why I uncontrobally shake my legs or bite my nails but I brushed it off as a bad habit.

"So tell me, what is it you want to be in the future?" He asked.

"I want to be a very successful businesswoman." I said and smiled, thinking about my name printed in the Forbes magazine. "What about you?" I asked.

"I want to be a techno dj. A famous one who actually appreciates music and feels it in his soul, transferred to the machine." He said.

"That's cool." I said, nodding my head. I checked the time and it was already 8:30 pm.

"I should go." I said.

"I'll call my driver." He said.

"You have a driver?" I asked, generally curious.

"Yeah, why?" He asked.

"Nothing." I said. What does he do for a living? Or more precisely what does his family do? I didn't ask him because I didn't want to pry so instead we waited for his driver to come pick us up. A limo parked infront of us at 8:45 pm. I was dying to ask him about his family but I thought to myself that the subject might be too personal for our relationship so I got in and contained my inquisitive tongue from blurting out the thousands of questions that were swimming my mind.

"Do you smoke weed?" He asked me as he took out a joint.

"No. I hate weed." I said.

"Why?" He asked and lit up the joint taking four drags.

"Because I don't like losing control over my brain." I scoffed.

"We should change that then." He said and smirked.

"No." I said and shook my head firmly. "Actually I don't want you to smoke weed with me when we hang out." I said and stared at him.

"You're not allowed to smoke cigarettes then. One maybe." He said and smiled.

"Fuck off." I said. He glared at me but said nothing.

"Sir, I think we have a problem with the limo, we're running out of gas and the nearest gas station is about thirty minutes from here." The driver said with a hint of fear in his eyes.

"Dammit Carlos." Ace said and gestured for me to get out of the car with him. "Guess we'll have to get an Uber." Ace said and took out his phone. I saw a small kiosk near where we were standing.

"I'll be right back." I said and left. A young girl was standing behind the window.

"Hey darlin' how may I help you?" She asked me as she chewed a gum with her big, red painted lips.

"Uh can I have a pack of Parliament please?" I asked and took out some cash.

"Sure darlin'. Anything else?" She smiled at me and gave me the pack. I smiled back and gave her the money, wishing her a good night.

"What did you buy?" Ace asked as I got to him.

"Nothin'." I said and lit up a cigarette.

"That's one princess." He smirked and I rolled my eyes. We stood there for the Uber to arrive but it was taking forever so I decided to smoke another cigarette.

"That's it." Ace said as he took my pack and broke it.

"What the fuck is your problem asshole?" I yelled.

"Stop yelling like a child." He said and threw the pack in the trash.

"What the fuck? Do you know how much I paid for that motherfucker?" I yelled even more because I was so mad. I wanted to smack that smirk right off his face. Smug bastard.

"So? Do you want the money?" He asked and took out his wallet.

"Fuck. You." I said and gave him the bird.

"Oh you wish you could." He said and licked his lips.

"I rather die a virgin than sleep with you." I said.

"How innocent." He said and got closer to me. I took a step back. "I love a scared rabbit as my prey." He said and smiled, his eyes turning to black orbs with a hint of violence in them.

"Fuck off." I said and readied myself to kick him in his balls if needed. Just as he was going to close the distance between us, our Uber arrived. I took a deep breath to stop my increased heart rate and the butterflies that were going wild in my stomach. We sat in the car but I was still mad.

"I hate you for doing that." I said.

"Told you that you could smoke only one." He said, looking out the window.

"I don't take orders from you." I said and crossed my arms.

"Stop acting like a child." He said and shook his head in disappointment.

"Stop BEING AN ASSHOLE." I half-yelled which caught the driver's attention.

"Want some candy you poor baby?" He said and pouted.

"Fuck off Ace or I swear I will hit your face with my German book and don't get me started on how thick the edge of it is." I threatened.

"You wouldn't dare." He laughed it off. "Now be quiet, I'm getting a headache." He said and started looking out the window again. I was boiling with hot anger at that point. I waited for the perfect moment to take my sweet delicious revenge. After about five minutes all was forgotten so I took out my German book, aimed for his forhead and hit him with it.

"Ow! You brat!!" Ace yelled and the driver tensed. Ace's face was red and he looked so pissed. Victory!
