Chapter 4

As my mind finally stopped the shut down error it's been having, I realized what I have done. Ace's glare was so vicious that I was literally going to shit my pants, right there, right then. I started running away towards Mable and Ash so he couldn't do anything. He started running after me and caught up to me in a flash but we were already a walk away from Ash and Mable.

"Sage! It's getting late. Where have you been?Let's gooo." Mable whined to me when her eyes caught me. Suddenly Ace threw water on me. Bastard.

"What. The. Fuck." I crushed each letter under my teeth in order to show him the level of anger I have. I hate it when people throw water on me. The wetness takes me back to a dark memo.

"You get what you deserve." He said with a victorious smile. I reached my water bottle and threw all the content on him so fast that he couldn't dodge the attack.

"And the other way around mister." I said and willed my voice to not break because my mind was trying to take me somewhere that I tried so hard to avoid. I shook my head and started walking towards a stunned Mable. Ash was shocked too but he was laughing under his breath.

"Sage! Look out!" Mable exclaimed. I turned and saw a furious Ace running towards me with a new water bottle. I started running backwards. A skill I gained during the time I played handball in my previous highschool in Ohio. Ace threw water on me but I dodged. He tried again but guess what? He failed. Miserably. I started laughing and he got even more mad. After he failed to throw water on me, we decided to part ways and take a cab with Mable to hit Mojo. Our favorite café.

"Sage. I have something to tell you." Mable said nervously.

"What's wrong Mabe?" I asked.

"I think I have a crush on Ace." She said in a quiet voice. I was shocked. My mind couldn't process her sentence. Ace is an asshole!

"Mabe what the hell? Ace is an asshole!" I said in an angry voice.

"I know but I really like him!" She exclaimed. "He makes me feel comfortable in my body and he's very humorous." She continued while playing with her fingers in a shy manner.

"Didn't you just tell him that you never want to see him again? What did he do?" I asked.

"Oh I was joking." She laughed. So it was the dramatic Mable then. I smacked my head with my hand. An annoying habit of mine. I decided to not tell Mable about what happened with Ace because I really want her to be happy and what she feels about him is valid so I ship them together. Besides the whole double dating idea will come true.

"Well if you say so then I ship you guys. Plus the double dating will be a bonus." I said with a smile.

"Thank you." She said. Suddenly I realized that we could ask them to tag along.

"Mabe why didn't we tell them to tag along with us?" I asked.

"I don't know! I thought they won't come." She said. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and instantly dialed Asher.

"Yeah?" Asher answered after the second ring.

"Hey. Me and Mable are going to Mojo so do you want to tag along?" I try to stop my voice from shaking nervously.

"Uh...we have to be somewhere." He says and I hear Ace say "Where are they going? Is it Sage?" and Asher asks him to shut up.

"Really? Can't you cancel it?" I ask.

"No. Sorry Sage." He says and Ace is talking again "What the hell man? We have no where to go! Let's just tag along with them. Asher says shut up again and then says bye to me while hanging up.

"What did he say?" Mable asks.

"They have to be somewhere." I say. During the whole ride Mable was talking about her other crush but all I could think about was Ace. He's so weird and cold but somehow I feel that there's a sadness inside him. As if he is as fucked up as me.
