Chapter 24

Anger was so evident on Ace's face. It scared me a little but that is why I did what I did in the first place. I wanted to ask him if he is okay.

'Don't you dare. Mutter one word and you will be kicked out of this cab in the middle of nowhere.' He said through gritted teeth.

'I just wanted to ask if you're okay.' I said.

'Sage.' His tone was threatening.

'What?' I asked and looked at my folded hands. I was a bit nervous and a lot more excited. Honestly I was so tired of not making any moves so I tried provoking him and I think I did but in a way that I didn't want to.

'Just stop talking before I lose my shit' He said. I stayed silent but the silence was killing me. I wanted him to lose his shit because he was not doing anything and I didn't see the point of us being friends with benefits if nothing happened.

'I just wanted to provoke you so you would do something. I am tired of not doing anything and just hanging out with you. This is not the point of this relationship.' I whispered.

'This was not the right move. Also, why can't we just give it some time? Why can't you just be patient?' He asked. His frustration was evident on his face and it was annoying me.

'What do you mean patient? If I wanted to be patient I would've dated you instead!' I yelled. The driver looked really uncomfortable but he didn't say anything.

'Stop yelling!' He said.

'No! What are you going to do about it? Choke me?' I said. Just as the words left my mouth, I felt his hand around my throat. Choking me. Pushing me against the car window. His eyes were two black orbs staring at mine with such desire and lust, not even aphrodiate's powers could compare. I felt butterflis flying in my stomach and I was sure Niagara Waterfalls would be ashamed if they could feel my panties. His hold was not tight or violent, it was just enough to show me who's in charge. He held me like that for five minutes that actually felt like forever and then let me go with a frustrated groan.

'Stop provoking me, Sage.' He said as he asked the driver to stop and handed him a bill. I looked out and we were already at our destination. I totally lost track of time. This was the first time that I let a guy touch me so intimately. The first time I actually had the balls to act the way I feel. After we got out of the cab, we stared at each other for the longest time.

'It was a lovely evening.' I said with a smirk and waited for his response.

'One day, I am going to smack that smirk right off your face and teach you a lesson that you will never forget.' He said.

'Will it include choking?' I asked as my smile grew wider. I was tempting him. Teasing him. Wondering if he will lose control like how he did in the car.

'Oh darling. Choking is the softest thing you can experience with me.' He said and then he got into my personal space. He got so close that I could smell his cologne and manliness. So close that for a moment I thought he was going to kiss me. My mouth was dry and my heart was beating so fast I could feel it in my throat. Then he passed my lips and placed his lips an inch apart from my ear. 'Until next time little rabbit.' He said as he slowly, oh so slowly, gave us some distance and held out his hand. I was speechless for some time. I could not gather enough energy to form out words. My brain was in jumbles. I looked at his outstreched hand and back at his face which was holding aa victorius smile. Oh so he thinks he won our little game?

'I don't shake hands with someone who choked me two seconds ago and don't forget to put ice on my lovely artwork.' I said and walked away without giving him a second glance. Game on.
