"Uh...Fine." He said without looking at me and his right knee was shaking wildly. He was lying and it was obvious but I decided to let it go because it's probably hard for him to open up about it. Just like my actual issue which has caused me to be sad all the time.
"Ask then." I said and took another sip. I took out ny cigarettes and offered one to him.
"I don't like smoking." He said.
"You smoke weed tho." I said and arched one of my eyebrows as a question signal.
"I don't smoke cigarettes. I mean I do it rarely." He said. I shrugged and lit up my cigarette.
"How many boyfriends have you had?" He asked.
"None." I said and stared at him waiting to see his reaction which was not suprising. His eyes widened and he looked suprised.
"That's weird." He said.
"Not really. I'm not an emotional person and usually when I get deep into a relationship, the other person starts expecting more of me and I can't provide what they expect of me." I said.
"What do they expect?" He asked and gestured for me to give him my cigarette so he can take a drag from it.
"For me to call them 24/7, answer their messages 24/7, be ready for them 24/7 and to say I love you all the time like they do themselves. I can't do that. I have a life to handle and I'm just as busy as the rest of the people in this society and what they expect of me, an eighteen years old person, is just too much. Plus I can't express my emotions easily." I said and asked him to give me my cigarette back after he took three drags from it.
"Why do you make the cigarette's filter so wet?" He asked and made a disgusted face which was so funny and it made me laugh a bit. "You have a weird laugh." He said and chuckled.
"Not as weird as your personality Acie." I said and smirked.
"Don't call me that Sagie." He said and showed me a smirk of his own.
"Whatever." I said and waited a minute. "Acie." I said under my breath.
"You really are a disobedient little brat." He said.
"Excuse me?" I said.
"You heard me." He said and grinned devilishly.
"I'm gonna ignore the fact that you just said that." I said.
"Yeah try not to masturbate to it later tonight." He said and his evil grin widened even more.
"Fuck. You." I said and showed him the bird. After a while we asked some more question and I decided to settle for questions about his ex.
"So, tell me about your ex. What happened?" I asked softly.
"Well...We were amazing. I really loved her and I think that I still do..." He looked at the far end of the bar and his eyes lost the cold vibe they always gave but just for a minute. I didn't dare to open my mouth because right at that moment, I realized that Ace is cold because he's been so soft before and somethings or some people made him become the person that he is right now. I also realized that he will ruin me sooner or later because of the way my heart was aching for his pain even though it shouldn't. His gaze came back to me and he started talking again. "It's just that, she didn't love me as much as I loved her." He said.
"I think she doesn't deserve you Ace." I said and gave him a sad smile.
"It's not about deserving Sage. She stopped giving me permission to touch her after a while and I had this gut feeling that she was cheating on me which was proven to be right because of the stuff I heard from other people." He said angrily.
"I mean if she didn't want you to touch her, it was her decision and you should've respected it. Also, people gossip a lot, you shouldn't believe them." I said and lit up another cigarette.
"I know but I found out that she was at my friend's place and they hooked up while she said that she was a virgin!" He said.
"Damn." I said and looked at the ground. Why would someone do that?
"It's not important anymore. She was nothing to me. It's probably the attachement which feels like love." He said in a serious tone. "She always hung out with a variety of guys without bothering to tell me and when I asked her to not hang out with a certain fuckboy, she refused." He continued.
"Ace, I think the problem was with the choices yall made. I don't know her point of view but from what you're telling me, I think that you should've either gotten along with the way she is or let her go because you can't expect her to change for you. Was she a sub?" I asked and he froze.
"How..why would you ask something like that?" He asked.
"Because I'm a sub and I know when someone is a dom. That someone means you." I said and waited for him to talk.
"You..you like BDSM?" He asked with disbelief.
"Honey, I love BDSM." I said with a smile.
"I was joking about you being a disobedient brat! I didn't know that you'd actually turn out to be a sub." He said and shook his head.
"Would you mind answering my question Ace? It's not a weird thing for someone like me to be a sub, okay?" I asked and rolled my eyes at him.
"Did you just roll your eyes at me?" He asked.
"Matter of factly, yes I DID. Now answer the damn question." I said.
"Brat." He growled. "She liked when I spanked her and stuff but we never tried the extreme stuff. So I don't think so." He said.
"That's another problem. You like BDSM and you are possessive because most doms are while she has no clue why you're being like that!" I said.
"That's not the case! A lot of vanilla people are also possessive!" He exclaimed.
"Not as much as you are!" I said.
"Whatever. Let's get out of here, I need some fresh air." He said. We paid separately for our beers and started walking without a destination in mind.
