Frame #20: Italy and the Martinis

[Chapter Twenty: Italy and the Martinis]

"I'm leaving." I said coldly while remaining my look in front of me.

"Stay —"

"I promised myself that I will never let anyone to fool me again, and guess what? You didn't just fooled me, you fooled the entire organization." Tiningnan ko siya, "Tabi." I shove his hands away before opening the door myself.

Right after I stepped out, may humawak ulit sa braso ko. I automatically stopped walking.

"We have our reasons on why we did that, may problema rin kami katulad mo, Dacheu."

Magkasubong ang kilay na nilingon ko si Life, "All of you had been watching us struggled on looking for the diamond, we blamed multiple persons because of that." marahas akong nagpakawala ng hininga. "Ngayon taon ko lang kayo nakilala, I never knew that I would find your true identities myself. Sana ma-konsensya kayo."

She stared at me for awhile.

"Let go of me." I gritted my teeth.

"That was our mother's final wish before she died, although she doesn't want us to steal it, wala kaming nagawa. The time was ticking, she just wanted to see that diamond before she go." Walang emosyong paliwanag niya.

Unti-unting nawala ang pagkakunot ng noo ko habang nakatingin sakanya.

"She was happy to see the diamond after we went back here, but she was upset because she knew that we stole it. After finding the right time, Corpse was the one who gave it back by putting it inside the box and leaving it near the headquarters." Dagdag niya.

I slowly looked at Corpse who's just listening to us, nakatingin lamang siya saakin.

I looked at Life again, her face holds thousand of emotions — behind her mask. I'm not saying that I could trust them by her story, I still need to know everthing. I need to know them, I need to know the three Martinis.

"Tell me everything." I stared at her, "I won't promise that I will shut my mouth forever after you clarify everthing, but I will hold it in until I tell Headmistress about it when you're all ready."

Ineksamina niya ang mukha ko, nanliit ang mata niya habang nakatingin saakin.

She let go of my hand, "But we won't promise you that we'll gonna tell everything about us."

"Dare me." Nagsukatan kami ng tingin.

I won't let this time slip, this is my time to know the Martinis — the children. Their mystery inside my head will finally come to an end.

"Non sapevo che voi tre sareste tornati a casa così all'improvviso."

Sabay kaming tatlo na napalingon nang biglang may nagsalita sa likuran ni Corpse.

I frowned a bit while looking at the middle-aged man in front of us, he has a mustache and a long grey hair. Nakasuot ito ng itim na tuxedo at may halong pagtataka siyang nakatingin saamin.

So Mr. Martini is here.

"Papá." Tawag ni Life, she walked towards the old man and kissed him on the cheek.

"Where are you going?" Tanong niya.

Instead of answering, Mr. Martini looked at my direction and silently pointed his finger at me before looking at Life again.

Mukhang nakuha naman niya ang ibig sabihin ng ama niya kaya bahagya siyang humarap saakin habang nakatingin pa rin sa ama niya, "Lei è la nostra... amica" (She's our friend.)
