[Chapter Twenty-Seven: Queen of the Night]

I could feel myself wanting to be buried alive when Life and Shot was just looking at Salvador and not even planning to greet him, for my chopper's sake too, Corpse is not here.

I cleared my throat to wake them.

Life blinked multiple times before standing up, "It's a... It's a honor to meet you, Sir. I'm just shock that I'm meeting the former COO." she walkes towards Salvador and shaked each other's hand.

AFTER having our little acquaintance in the living room, all of us parted ways. Shot went out to spy on the venue where the party is going to held tonight while Life sent the kid home and Meghan went to the Control Room but still, Corpse is  nowhere to be found.

I walked towards the backyard where I planned to stay for a minute, I need to grab some fresh air before fixing my things that I'll be wearing and using tonight.

Napahinto ako sa doorway papunta sa likuran ng mansion nang madatnan ko si Corpse na may kausap sa telepono niya, his back was facing me so he didn't felt my presence. Even he's a little bit far away, I could still hear his voice but sadly, I couldn't understand a single thing because he's speaking Italian.

Umupo ako sa isang upuan at hindi nalang pinansin si Corpse.

Thinking about our mission tonight, ni isa ay wala pa rin kaming plano na susundan. It's new to me because back in my past missions, lagi akong may sinusundan na pattern.

I wonder if we'll have a plan or all of us will just show at the party and kill everybody.

Natawa ako sa naisip ko, it's too impossible for that to happen, we're just here to get the case and handcuff our targets... Well if it's another way then that thought of mine might be possible to happen.

"What are you thinking about?"

Nabalik ako sa reyalidad nang marinig kong magsalita si Corpse, he's walking forward. Nang makaupo siya sa katapat kong upuan ay tumaas ang isa niyang kilay, waiting for my answer.

"You were smiling." He added.

Umismid ako sakanya bago sumandal sa upuan.

"Thinking on how you'll die." I answered sarcastically.

He playfully laughs, "Oh, Agent. I might know, my sister mentioned to me when you thought I was dead. You were thinking deeply and she could see grief in your eyes."

Ngumiwi ako sa mga pinagsasasabi niya.

"Have shame for yourself, I don't like you."

He held his head back and laughs, may ngiti sa labi siyang tumingin ulit saakin.

"I never brought that topic up, wala naman akong sinabi na may gusto ka saakin."

I could feel my face heated up a little when he said that, naiinis na umayos ako ng upo at sinamaan siya ng tingin.

"Wala akong pake." I stood up and started to walk away but when I made my way to the doorway, I suddenly stopped when he spoke again.

"But if you have a problem, don't hesitate to come to me."
