[Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Awakening of The New Beginning]

"I'm retiring."

Headmistress was frowning while looking up to me, she was sitting down on her swivel chair.

I know she was taken aback from what I said, kakapasok ko palang sa opisina niya tapos 'yon agad ang bungad ko sakanya.

She sat straight, "Are you well?"

I sighed, "No, I just want to resign. Handa na ang mga gamit ko."

"Are you throwing all your hard works away in just a snap, Eris?"

I hummed before looking at her, "Maybe."

It's been a year since the our mission were finished, I've recovered easily but it came back unknowingly months later.

I can still remember how Corpse were shot in front of me, I still remember the fear that creeps inside my whole body. He vanished after our mission, wala akong ideya kung saan siya dinala pero ang alam ko ay nilabas na siya sa bansa pagkatapos ng misyon namin sa Estados Unidos. I never heard a singe news about him and I never tried to look for one, walang imik ang mga kapatid niya tungkol doon kaya hindi na ako nag-aksaya pa ng oras para malaman kung nasaan na siya.

I cleared my throat, "I'll sign the paper later, Salvador is waiting for me at front of the department."

I'm finally leaving this organization, I've been thinking about this since the early months. I want a normal life. A normal self.

I smirked a little when I remembered what happened that time.

Salvador was behind all of this, he was the one who undercovers to get the case back. Although his reason are still unknown, we let the organization handle it. At least everything is all clear, that's all I want to hear. That's why he immediately left when we arrived at the venue before, inaasikaso na pala niya ang mga planong gagawin niya. I was a little bit upset knowing that he didn't tell us about it, though.

"I got my keys, I'll be leaving. Thank you for giving me this." Just like father and daughter bondings, I don't go nervous around him anymore.

"Your Mom is waiting for you."

"At the public library in the city." He added.

I nod before looking at the box with a handle, "I don't have my phone, tell her I'm on my way."

I gave him a peace sign, "Ciao."

After our mission, I attended a meeting with the German family that Salvador said that I'll be meeting too. The Schneiders... Or should I say I'm one of them.

The DNA results revealed that I'm surely their lost daughter. I won't lie, I cried, we all cried. I've been lost all my life far from my family, my real family. They told me everything that happened when I got lost, they weren't with me, we were at this town where there's a festival going on and out of nowhere I was taken away from them because of the massive crowd. Everything went out of control, they called many securities to search for me but they ended up coming back to them saying I was nowhere to found.

Gladly, someone adopted me and it brought me to find my real family.

I'm the eldest, the second child is just half my age. And to be honest, we're completely the opposite. My young sister often asks me about having a short hair and why it looked like it belongs to a boy. She's innocent, plus, she's my sister. I can't just be rude to her.
