ELLIE

Last night, was something else. I didn't think I could even bring up the courage to ask him to do that.

I'm glad I did though.

By the time he was done, I wanted more but I couldn't. I know I should wait. Before I could even offer to do something for him he left so I just went to bed. Maybe some other time I can say thank you properly.

Snapping out of my daze when my phone rings. what? I roll over and on the screen I see Naomi. I know Lindsay would kill me if he was here, but he's not. He went over to hang out with Avery.  I swipe to answer the call and I put it on speakerphone.

"Hello?" I say and I hear shuffling before someone picks up the phone.

Someone pants into the phone. "Ellie, I messed up, I really did, when you left and Lindsay left I thought if I cut you out of my life everything would be fine but it's not" Naomi cries. Even though she has said some cruel things about me. She's my best friend.

I won't turn my back on her. "Naomi, Breathe and talk to me," I say calmly not wanting her to panic. She cries out a loud breath.

"I'm outside," She says and I jump up and I look down realizing I'm wearing Lindsay's shirt. I quickly throw it off and throw it under the bed same with the red sweater. I throw on a hoodie and some leggings.

Taking a deep breath. "Okay, do you know the apartment number?" I ask and she cries.

She's crying?

"Yeah, the elevator is just taking forever, see you in a minute," she says and hangs up. I hurry and shoot Lindsay a text saying Naomi's here. Looking in the mirror I see a hickey on my neck. Shit. I rip open my makeup bag and put makeup on it.

Applying the concealer and foundation as fast as I can I hear a knock at the door. Spraying some setting powder I grab my phone and I walk to the front door.

Opening it I feel my eyes widen as I take in the state that Naomi is in. Her face is all bruised and bleeding. Her clothing is all ripped. "come inside, I'll get the first aid kit" I say and she comes in a closes the door as I go to get the first aid kit.

Noami's sitting down on the couch when I come back and I also have some clothing for her. I begin to clean up her face with a wet cloth. Good thing I brought two. "you better start talking?"

She winces "I flew in early this morning, I couldn't go home, not like this. Security didn't question it and just let me go through."

They probably should have questioned it a little bit more.

Gently rub away the dried blood. She knows that wasn't what I was talking about. "My friend, I really should call them friends. we were hanging out and we got jumped. They were apparently brought me to a hospital but kicked me out of the car seven miles from any hospital. The airport was closed" She says and I nod realizing now that she was kicked out of the car.

She takes a shaky breath as I dab rubbing alcohol onto her wounds. "I realize now that dropping you as a friend was a stupid mistake and I'm sure Lindsay told you what I said, don't blame him either."

I mean, why wouldn't he tell me?

At least she realizes what she did was wrong. "I have forgiven you for a lot of shit Naomi, some that shouldn't be forgiven. But this, it may take me some time" I say as I finish up on her face.

"Coming here wasn't so you could open your arms for me, it's so there could be a start. those girls who I thought could replace you just couldn't, they wanted to party, get drunk and do drugs and that wasn't me." She says and she lets tears roll down her face.
