LINDSAY
She so smoothly blew off that question, but I wasn't going to go back and make her answer it. When she says the question down to when she needed to answer it, something about her changed. She became shy kinda.
Our food came about ten minutes ago and we are making small talk now. Maybe taking her down to the waters will make her feel better.
We finish eating and then I pay and leave. Avery and Cassie left a little bit ago. Opening her door for her, she gets in. Going around the car I get in and start the car. Watching as she sits there staring out the window.
Somethings wrong, but I don't want to make her mad.
I drive down a road she is unfamiliar with and she starts to look around. When the waters come more in view she gasps and I watch out of the corner of my eye as her face lights up again.
That's it, baby, I like seeing you happy.
Pulling into the parking lot we get out. I grab a bag I had brought with me and I bring it with us. She goes running to the water but stops and looks at me. "I can't go swimming in this, you should have told me to bring a bathing suit," she says and I roll my eyes opening the bag. Taking out one of my shirts and throwing it at her.
"I couldn't find your bathing suit but I grabbed you my shirt and some of my clothing for after," I say and she smiles. I watch her go over behind a tree to get dressed. I take off my shoes and socks, along with my coat. I take off my shirt and I leave it all on the seat.
Closing the door I look to find Ellie walking towards me, my shirt reaches to her mid-thigh and she's letting all her hair down so it's gently moving in the wind. She looks incredible, stunning.
She puts her clothing in the passenger seat and I lock the car and Ellie takes the car keys. she places them in a little compartment in her wheel well and closes it. "I had that made so I can put my keys there"
Turning she then runs to the water leaving me behind. I laugh and run after her. she giggles all the way to the water until her feet hit the water. "What? cold?" I ask her and she shakes her head.
"It's perfect, come on," she says going into the water and I laugh pulling my jeans off and going into the water. By the time I reach her, she's already underwater and resurfacing.
She's truly beautiful.
Jumping onto me, I feel her legs wrap around me, her arms go around my neck as she pulls me underwater. When we resurfacing it's beautiful, watching the waterfall off her face, the water sitting on the ends of her eyelashes.
She makes me crazy about her. I don't even mind.
"I've always wanted to come to the waters when it was dark you know, but the sunset, even better," she says turning around to see the setting sun. It's the perfect time to bring her here. "You wanna build a sandcastle?"
Looking down at her she is just smiling at me and I just roll my eyes are her. She begins to swim back to shore and I do too. When we get close enough where we can walk. I am far enough behind her where I watch her emerge from the water and turn to me. She smiles at me.
"So I don't know how we are exactly going to do this but, I want to build a sandcastle," She says sitting in the sand not too far from the water. I nod sitting with her.
I watch as she begins to pile up and into a dome, attempting to make a castle. "In theory, if I just pack this enough, I should be good" when It comes to sand and water, she becomes a kid again.
But I wouldn't want her any other way.
Watching her play with the sand for about thirty minutes, she has something that isn't quite a sandcastle. But, she's happy with it at least.
