Mistakes || Outer Banks

Part 14 - Rafe Cameron

Over the next few weeks, Oc and Rafe were growing closer and closer whereas her and the pogues were growing apart everyday. She spent most of her time at the beach or on Toppers boat. Sometimes Sarah would join them but she often went to the Château to spend time with John B. Sarah started to get worried about Oc's drifting relationship with the pogues. She decided it might be a good idea for Kie to come over for a slumber party.

Oc had no idea this was going on, so when the doorbell rang and she saw Kie, she was so excited. She gave her the tightest hug and said "Kie! It's so good to see you! I've missed you so much!" She replies "Gosh! I've missed you too! It's so strange not having you around." Sarah then comes down the stairs and explains to Oc that she had planned a sleepover. The three of them were so excited. The entire night, they watched movies, did face masks, had a fashion show and it felt so good for them just to be together again. Before they all go to bed, Kie says while lying down "Oc how are you." "Better. I'm slowly leaving everything in the past." "That's really good. Jj's a mess you know." She doesn't reply. Sarah then says jokingly "Oc is totally over Jj, and so into my brother." Kie laughs and Oc says "I actually do like him." Sarah turns over onto her stomach and says "wait what?" "Yeah... I didn't think I did, but I do... He kind-of asked me out. I want to say yes. But first I need to know that that is okay with you." Sarah smiles at her and says "of course it is. You know I love you."

Once Kie and Sarah fall asleep, Oc sneaks out of the room, and goes down to the kitchen to go see Rafe. He see's her and says "what are you doing up?" "I came to see you." He looks at her confused and she continues "remember when you told me you felt a connection between us?" He nods. "Well I feel it too. Rafe, I like you." He smiles at her and says "I like you too." The two of them walk onto the beach and spend hours talking while sitting in the sand. They watch the beautiful sunrise and eventually fall asleep in each others arms.

By the time they wake up, it's noon. They decide that walking back to the house is their best option since Kie and Sarah are probably already looking for them. On their way back, they run into John B and Jj. Oc let's go of Rafe's hand, runs over to John B and jumps in his arms. "Hey there big bro" she says so happy to see him. "Hey little sis. How are you doing?" He smiles and kisses her on the forehead. "I'm doing really well actually." "Well enough to come home?" Jj says. She's not as angry as she used to be, so she replies calmly "ha, you wish." She goes back over to Rafe, starts walking away and says "see you around." As the new couple are walking away hand in hand, Jj yells in a more serious tone "Rafe Cameron? Really? So this my new replacement?" She looks at Rafe and says "go back home. Tell Kie and Sarah that I'm okay. They will probably be worried that i'm not home." He nods and leaves. She turns to Jj who is walking towards her slowly and says "Jj, you left me, let it go." Jj keeps on getting closer and says "c'mon Sunny, you can't look me in the eyes and honestly say that you like him." She looks deep into his sky blue eyes and says "yes, I can and yes I do." He doesn't say anything and she walks away.

As she enters the house, Sarah and Kie come rushing towards her and Sarah says "oh my god! Rafe told me you said yes! I cannot believe you and my brother are a thing now!" Kie then adds "ahhh! I'm so excited for you!" The three of them gossip for a while until Rafe takes her out on Topper's boat with Kels to watch the beautiful sunset.
