Mistakes || Outer Banks

Part 5 - First fight

Once they get back to the Château, it's around dinner time so Pope and Kie get to cooking. Oc sits in the kitchen watching them. She see's them fool around and then says "wait a minute, how could I have missed this? You two are a thing!" They glare at her. Then Kie says nervously while stuttering "n-no we aren't." "Yes you are! You cuddle during movies, hold hands, Pope always helps you cook even though he has no talent in that department and you are always together!" Pope stares at her and says "just please don't tell the others. We aren't official yet." Oc nods, smiles then adds "happy cooking!" and leaves.

Oc see's Jj in the tree house by himself just looking out at the sea. He looks so calm and peaceful. His golden blonde hair is just calling out for her to go up and see him.

She climbs up and hugs him from behind. "Hey sunny" he says. She loves it when he calls her that and replies softly "hi Jj." He turns around, grabs her tiny waist, and then says concerned "are you sure you're okay?" She nods and says "yeah but what did you do to the man who had my necklace? You seemed like you knew who he was." His smile wiped off of his face almost immediately and he said "Oc, I told you not to worry about it okay?" Certainly worried, she continued even though he clearly just wanted her to drop it. "So did you know him or not?" In a neutral tone he says "no i didn't" Surprised she says "your lying! Since when do we lie to each other?" "We haven't really known each other for that long, and it really doesn't concern you so just let it go." She grabs his hands and pulls them off her waist while backing up and says "yeah, it does concern me knowing that i'm the one who got taken and held hostage!" He looks away and doesn't say a word. Oc rolls her eyes and climbs down the tree house. Jj says "c'mon don't be like that." She looks back at him with disgust. He jumps off the treehouse and starts yelling at her "don't look at me like that! I'M GOING THROUGH SHIT TOO! You really want to fucking know who that was? That was my drunk of a father!" He immediately realizes what he's done and says more calmly "Oc i'm so sorry. I know you don't like yelling" As tears are rolling down her face, she turns around and starts walking back into the Château in disbelief. He chases after her and grabs her arm. She quickly pulls her arm away and flinches. She runs into Kie's room crying. Jj, frustrated with himself, puts his hands on his face and runs his fingers through his hair trying to think of what to do.

Kie follows her into her room to comfort and calm her down. All the pogues heard Jj's little rampage since he was screaming after all. John B, who was in the hammock the entire time, goes up to Jj and says "Why would you do that? You knew she couldn't handle yelling and yet you did it anyway. After everything she's been through. Wow Jj, great job." John B scoffs and walks away towards the beach.

After they all eat the dinner separately that Kie and Pope prepared, Jj walks outside towards the hammock that Oc is laying in. "Hey" he says. She looks down and replies with "hi." He then says "look, i'm really sorry. I know I shouldn't have lied and I seriously should have just told you, I just get embarrassed talking about my family. It's really not something I like to brag about." She looks up into his bright blue eyes and says "I know, you just really scared me and I needed a minute to breathe. She gets out of the hammock and goes over to hug him. Her arms are around his neck, he pulls away from the hug. He puts his hands on her waist, pulls her body closer to his, stares into her brown and mysterious eyes and kisses her. It suddenly starts to rain so she pulls back. They are soaking wet. She grabs his hand and they both run towards the Château and into Jj's room. She pulls him onto his bed and they start to kiss. She's on top of Jj, but not for long. He flips her over and takes off his shirt. He starts kissing her neck, but as it gets more intense, she pulls back and Jj says "sorry are you okay?" she replies with "yeah, but I'm not ready." He smiles at her and Jj cuddles her until they both fall asleep.
