CHAPTER XIX ⚜ Enchanted

Onyx POV

Matapos kong maikwento ang nangyare nang huli kaming pumuntang dalawa ni Talc sa mall, kung paano siya nawala habang hinihintay ko ang prize nito sa counter at kung paano ko siya nahanap sa Jollibee.

"So thats explain why the mall send that package? Iyong stuff toy na minion?" Usal ni Kuya habang tinitignan ang anak nitong kumakain.

"Yes? I guess?" Naguguluhan kong sagot dahil hindi ko naman alam na may dumating na parcel. Malay ko sa kanila.

"But how come you said that he treat you in Jollibee, Talc? Wala naman si Selo when I arrived there." Nagtataka kong tanong kay Talc pero si Selo na ang sumagot.

"I think it was the time that you go out of the fastfood chain when you saw the security guards," sabat nito sa akin. "I saw you that time, I was in the counter and Im about to go back to Talc." Pahabol pa nito.

That explain why there's already food, a lot of food when I came back to Talc after I reported that I found him already.

"O-okay?" Nahihiya kong sagot.

Im still uncomfortable with him, not because of his presence but because of the thought that I turn him down but he still treat me the same way. He never change the way he look at me, I cant see any madness or what in his eyes, just pure adoration and love. Eh?

I cant help my self to stare at him, he is so good to be real. The reaction of my body when he's near is still the same, the butterflies in my stomache and the heartbeat of my heart. Am I bewitched by this guy?

"Excuse me for a minute. I need to go to the washroom." Pagpapaalam ko sa kanila bago tumayo sa aking kinauupuan at bumaba. Nakita ko kasi yung washroom don.

Pagkapasok ko sa loob ay binuksan ko agad ang faucet para maghugas ng kamay. Inalis ko din ang band aid na nasa daliri ko ng maalala kong wala pala akong dalang pamalit.

Kahit hindi pa hilom ang sugat ko sa daliri ay hinayaan ko nalang muna. Pagkabalik nalang namin mamaya, saka ko gagamutin at lalagyan ng band aid.

Pabalik na sana ako sa taas ng madaanan ko ang sliding door ng restaurant, papunta sa likurang bahagi nito. Namangha naman ako dahil sa likurang bahagi pala nito ay may munting lawa.

Binibigyang liwanag ang buong lugar ng mga ilaw na nakasabit sa mga sanga ng punong kahoy at mga lamp post. Tanaw mula sa kinatatayuan ko ang tahimik at payapang lawa sa gitna ng gabi. Hindi ko namang maiwasang mamangha dahil sa naggagandahang bituin at buwan na nakasilip sa kalangitan.

Because of my amazement in this place, I opted to sit in a chair made of wood. It gives me a vibe of peaceful night because of the breezy wind and the sounds of crickets. What a view.

Halos ilang minuto na rin akong nakaupo habang nakatingala sa langit ng makarinig ako ng taong nagsalita sa likuran ko.

"I know you were here," Selo said while standing beside me. "Can I sit beside you?" Tanong nito na sinagot ko lang ng tango.

I dont know how to face him after that day, I know I must not feel this way because I am the one who turned him down. But because of what my sister said to me, I feel so disappointed to myself. I dont know why.

"I excused my self to them just to check on you. We're waiting for you for minutes but you never came back." Pagkakausap nito sa akin.

"Im sorry, I just found this place on my way back. Im just amazed so I stay." Paliwanag ko sa kanya.

"Im glad you like this place." Even though Im not facing him, I know he's smiling. "We can stay here for a while if you want." Pahabol nito.

Ilang minuto ng katahimikan ang bumalot sa amin bago nito binasag.
