CHAPTER VIII ⚜ Amazed

Onyx POV

Quarter to 9 when we arrived at the barangay court, it is already filled of people, mostly teenagers with their casual wear? I think so. Im just wearing a pink fluffy sweatshirt and gray short below the knee,partnered with Vans old school shoes. It would never be obsolete. Just enough classic.

Dahil na rin sa nakashort ako, ay litaw ang maputi kong legs. Though it is cold, alam kong pagpapaiwasan ako mamaya, so I just decided to wear short. Nakakailang nga lang dahil mas sanay akong nakapants. So weird self?

Saktong pagkababa namin ng sasakyan, ay nakasimula na sila sa kanilang programa, I think it is the Kapitan who is now talking in front, giving his opening remark? Or closing? I dont know.

"And of course, hindi lahat ng ito mangyayari kung hindi dahil sa mga taong tumulong sa atin. Mga kabrangay, I want you to meet our sponsors, ang pamilyang tumulong sa atin simula nung una. Let us all welcome, the Leal Family" huling usal nito bago nagsipalakpakan naman ang mga tao na ngayon ay sa amin na ang atensyon.

Naglakad naman si Kuya Mond karga si Talc, sumunod si Ate Ruby, papunta sa harapan. So do I. Syempre di tayo papaiwan.

"Goodevening po, in behalf of our Lolo, Stone Leal. We want to greet everyone of you happy fiesta!" Saka kami sabay sabay na yumuko. It is our custom to bow if we are introducing or saying our Lolos' name in every gatherings.

"As you can see, he is not here. Nasa ibang bansa po kasi ang Lolo ngayon dahil sa kompanya, although he wants to be here with you all, kami nalang po ang pinapunta niya." Pagpapatuloy ni Kuya.

"We are so thankful for your hardwork, maraming maraming salamat po. Ang gabing ito ay para po sa ating lahat. The night is still young, have fun. Enjoy the rest of the night. And again, happy fiesta!" Huling sabi ni Kuya, saka tumabi sa amin na nasa upuan.

"And to formally start, we want to call one of the youngest heir of Leal, Onyx. To sing for us. Wala ba kayong mga kamay dyan?" Huling hirit ng Emcee nila bago nagsipalakpakan.

Agad naman akong pumwesto sa harapan pagkatapos kong maiayos ang strap ng gitara ko at maiayos ang mic.

"So, goodevening po." Ngiti kong pambungad sa kanila. Na ikinaani naman ng hiyawan, mostly mga babae at binabae.

"Kyaaaaaah! Akin ka nalang!" Sigaw ng isang babae na ikinatawa naman ng lahat.

"Oh sure!" Pagsagot ko naman, "Kidding." Paghabol ko din.

"First, I am Onyx Leal, greeting you all Happy Fiesta. And this song is for those who found their greatest love, but of course to those who seek to find their right love." Huling sagot ko bago simulang magtipa sa aking gitara.

When I started to sing, no one dares to dance, to ask someone to dance. Its just like this, a guy will approach a girl and ask her if he could dance with her. Something like that.
