Afro Praise was over but Jeremy Carlson's passionate words never left any of them. It set the tone for some deep thinking and pondering over their future.

It was amazing night; one that the friends were not in hurry to forget. Kaiden left for Boston that night and so did Jason.

Jael was pretty sad to not spend a night like this with Myles but she wanted to respect his wishes and give him some space. He was dealing with a lot and besides, she noticed he followed online.

Jael spoke to her mum about the events of her birthday party and took the advice to stand her ground and not be rushed into something she was physically and psychologically prepared for.
"Mum, I love Myles a lot but marriage... that's too huge a commitment to me at the moment. I love him and do care about him a lot and I don't want to ruin whatever we have by rushing things. The idea of getting engaged and few years was great but I'm just not ready yet."
"So just talk to him. He may have got it wrong but he'll understand."

Jayla spent the remaining days she had with Elijah. She felt she hadn't really made some time to be with him with everything going on. She called him.
"Eli."
"Jayla... Good to know you finally remembered me."
"I'm so sorry. With everything g-
"It's alright Jayla. I was only kidding."
"I know but I still feel the need to make up to you. Wanna grab lunch with me tomorrow? There's a new pizza place that's just opened a few blocks away."
"Sure"
"Okay I'll pick up at midday."

Elijah was a sweet friend. He taught her a lot and had an inspiring passion for missionary work.
He was a good listener and always seemed to know what to say.

In Boston, Carlson Corp and The Torres Conglomerate worked gingerly on their new project so Jason and Kaiden saw each other often.

After closing in on the deal with a team of lawyers, The Torres lost close to 10% worth of shares to Carlson Corp. and though Kaiden was not happy, this was his dad's call.

The two were having lunch together when Kaiden made a proposition.
"I'm thinking of branching out on my own." Kaiden let on.
"Really?"
He nodded as he wiped his mouth.
"Why do I just know my sister had something to do with this new venture of yours." Jason chuckled at the thought
"Not entirely but she did encourage it."
"What exactly are you looking into, if I may ask."
"I'm hoping to build an e-commerce company based solely on AI Technology and that's where I'll need your help."
"Sure... tell me more."

Jayla, Chloe and Carrie moved back to Boston. They decided to spend the week they had left preparing for sophomore year.

Carrie started dating Kevin and Chloe spent more time out with Bryson that Jayla was mostly left on her own. With the new deal The Torres was closing in on, she knew Kaiden would be busy so she didn't want to bother.

So she buried herself in some awesome Christian literature she got from Elijah.
Speaking of Elijah, he went back to Africa to continue his missions.

The next day, Kaiden called.
"Hey."
"Hey" she replied sleepily.
"You're still in bed? Petal, it's 9 in the morning."
"And too soon to wake up."
"What would I do with you."
"Leave me to sleep."
"I find out my favourite girl was back in town and I didn't even know about it and this is what I get from her. My poor heart cannot handle this torture."
"You're dramatic."
He laughed.
"Call me when you finally get out of bed."
"Aren't you busy with the new deal rolling out?"
"Never too busy for my favourite girl."
"What if I don't get up?"
"Then I'd drag you out of bed when I'm done with work."
"You wouldn't dare!"
"Wanna bet?"

**********
Kaiden drove over to the girls apartment that evening.
Chloe answered the door and walked back in without a courteous hello so Kaiden let himself in. He knew he wasn't in Chloe's good books but she was Jayla's best friend and he respected that.
Carrie met him
"Kaiden... you're here. Jayla! You're knight's here."
"This way. Her room's the last one."
"Wouldn't she mind?-
"Don't be silly. Now go on."

Kaiden knocked twice and with no response he assumed she was still in bed and walked into a room and Jayla screamed. She seemed to have just finished getting dressed.
"Hey!"
"What?"
"What are you doing in my room?"
"Carrie said I could come in."
"What if I was dressing up? I'm so going to kill that girl."
"But you're not."
She looked irritated so he didn't push it.
"I'm sorry."
"Never mind. You're already in anyway. What did you want to talk about?"
"Can we take a stroll?"

************
As they walked down the streets of Boston, Kaiden reached for her hand and she stopped.
"I know we cancelled our deal and I don't want you to feel obliged to but I'd love it if you could go with me to the Bliss"
She was stunned.
