Chapter 26- Surprise?

I finish cleaning up the shattered plate in complete silence. Sans and Papyrus are in Pap's room, having a "bro-to-bro" discussion. I trust Sans is going to explain what was going on, so there's no need for me to stand there awkwardly.

I blush again while thinking about it, being flustered and filled with complete embarrassment on top of that. Sans' voice played in my head, remembering what he said before, "You know you'll love it..."

I did. I really did.

I groan while covering my face with my hands.

'Got a little carried away.'

(~Sans' POV~)

Papyrus is messing with one of his action figures, "Brother, I really am sorry. I imagine the time I walked in was a little inconvenient."

I rub the back of my neck, sitting on the bed next to him, "It's alright bro. We just forgot you were in the kitchen."

I take a deep breath, "Pap.. About that-" "OH- DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!" Papyrus smirks, raising his voice as he normally does.

It kind of spooked me at first, considering he's been so quiet lately.

Papyrus continues, "I'm pretty sure I've seen Undyne and Alphys doing that a few times before."

'WHAT?!'

It isn't a surprise to anyone about Undyne and Alphys, but making out in front of Pap?! This is new. I thought I'd made it clear that I didn't want Papyrus being introduced to that sort of stuff yet. It's not that I want him to be "sheltered" forever, it's just... I don't know.

'Brotherly instinct, I guess.'

I felt anger building up, blaming a certain fish for not telling me about this.

Papyrus arches an eyebrow, slightly confused, "Miss Toriel always made me bake with her in the kitchen instead."

'Oh thank god. Remind myself to thank her later.'

Without thinking, I let out a large sigh of relief, grabbing at my chest. Paps looks back to me, "Um, what were you doing....? With the human..."

My face glowed blue within the second, he really had to put me on the spot like that. I force a smile and wink, trying to hide my internal panic, "It's just a thing that couples do, bro."

Papyrus stares at my completely flustered face with a blank look. Then something must've registered because he gasped, standing up, "NYEH?! Are you and the human DATING?!"

I grab at my hood, fighting the urge to pull it over my skull, "Y-Yeah." Papyrus urgently grabs my shoulders, "Why didn't you tell me?!"

"We wanted to surprise ya. Uh.. Surprise!" I blurted it out, since it was half true.

'Y/N wanted me to tell him at some point. Wasn't expecting it to go anything like this.'

"How long has this been going on???" Papyrus asks. "A week." I answer, less tense than before. "Wowie, You set all of this up just for me?! Well done brother, I thought you weren't capable of doing such a thing! However, you must've figured that would add onto the surprise. You got Miss Y/N in on it too!"
