(~Your POV~)

"Come on, it's just a little further down this way!" I tell Papyrus, picking up the pace.

Undyne was right. Papyrus is pretty fast, probably capable of passing me up even while carrying Madison. I'm not saying she's overweight or anything but she's 6 feet tall, meaning she weighs more than a woman of average height. Papyrus is only a few inches taller than her, I think.

While running, I quickly look to the side to check on her condition. It's only been a couple minutes since Atlas shot her, but there's no doubt she's lost a lot of blood since then. She's been fighting and trying her best to stay awake. Madison was more alert before, I can tell it's proving more difficult for her now.

"AY MADISON! Don't die, ya hear me?!" I shout to her. She sluggishly looks to me and weakly smirks, "Not in.. a million years.."

I'm not a doctor, therefore I don't know whether the bullet hit her vital nerves or something. That's what makes it so critical that we get her help now.

Finally, I get some relief when I see the police cars at a house up ahead. That must be where they're holding the investigation of those murders.

'Was Atlas the cause of it? Made me freak out so I would change my mind faster, even if it meant taking the lives of innocent people?'

I don't want to think about it anymore. Atlas hurt enough people already. I run as fast as I can to meet up with them, shouting, "HEY! HEY! WE NEED HELP! PLEASE!"

Most of the officers that were stationed outside notice us. One was kind enough to actually run over and meet us halfway. She's a petite woman, pretty young too. She has her blonde hair in a ponytail. "Ma'am, what's wrong?"

I'm completely out of breath, doubling over with my hands on my knees. I point behind me, heaving, "My friend.. needs help..!" It doesn't take much longer for Papyrus to catch up, a little out of breath himself.

A few of the officers standing outside behind the "no crossing" tape at the scene, tense up.

'Definitely because Pap's a monster. Knew it.'

The policewoman in front of me sees Madison's condition. Immediately, she turns to the group and screams, "SOMEONE CALL IN AN AMBULANCE!"

Two more of the officers run towards us to help. Another stayed behind and used the radio on their shoulder to contact an ambulance.

"Ma'am, what's your name? Are you alright? What happened?" They've definitely noticed that I have injuries of my own. I answer all of their questions, "It's Y/N L/N. A few scrapes and scratches won't kill me. I need you to help her. Our friend has lost his mind! He held us hostage and shot her. Three monsters heard the shot and came over to help us. Two of them are stalling him to protect us!"

'Story could use some work, but it's mostly true.'

Papyrus stands there quietly, letting me handle the situation while a police officer gently takes Madison from him. I look to the policewoman's badge, her name engraved into it. Her name is Annalise. Annalise turns to another officer and commands, "We need to get a squad out there now. He's dangerous and armed."

She turns back to me, "Where did this happen? Wait- Did you run all the way here?!" "Yeah, it's down the road."

I quickly tell her the address. She gestured to Papyrus and I, pointing towards her car, "Come on, I'll drive. We need to keep you two safe until he's contained."

'Thank goodness. My lungs are about to die. Tip for next time, should NOT be running minutes after being choked.'
