Remy sighed quietly as he leaned back in his reception chair, glancing over towards his husband's office's door. He could see him in there through the door's window sitting in his little chair, notepad in hand, eyes seeming to be lit up as he gestured widely, probably talking about a cartoon. It made Remy smile for a moment, but he then grabbed his phone to check the time- the current appointment was gonna end any moment now. Hopefully.
In all honesty Remy didn't actually know what time it ended. He sure as hell didn't do anything that a normal secretary would do in their job... he only really took it so he could flirt with the therapist. But lucky enough for him, Emile flirted back.
With another sigh, Remy opened his phone, checking any notifications for apps he might have. He found none, which lead him to put it away and stare up at the ceiling- at you.
"Sure is a lot of filler already for what's only set to be a lazy chapter where nothing interesting happens... I guess that makes sense, then," he mumbled. "I think y'all would much rather see dialogue than just me sitting here, though."
As if on cue, the office door then opened, and Remy sat up, watching as Emile and his patient exited. The person left after only a moment, leading Emile to sigh contently before going to close his office door.
"I hate days where all your patients prefer to wake up before 11 AM," Remy said, holding out a hand to his husband. Emile took it, leaning against his desk.
"What, do you wanna go back to bed?" He smiled.
"Don't know. We should go back upstairs at the very least."
"Okay, honey."
Remy got off his chair and the two began to walk upstairs. Emile suddenly gave Remy a mildly confused face as they walked, and Remy raised an eyebrow.
"What's on your mind?" Emile asked.
"I don't know. I'm a bit worried about the kid after he seemed to act weird in the last chapter... but that'll probably solve itself on its own."
"...Huh. Oh, yeah, because of what Sage said yesterday? I really don't think Joe would do anything to him."
"Eh, you're right. I'll make sure of it."
"You're really going at it with wanting to be in control more, aren't you?" They sat down on the couch together, and Emile rubbed his husband's shoulders, who hummed contently.
"Hmm... tough being shot back into a story you tried to avoid for eighteen years. At least we got a nibling out of it."
"That's true. Do you want to watch something?"
"Sure. We could finally start on Schitt's Creek."
Emile smiled. "Yeah... or, we could take advantage of the fact we learned recently that Nickelodeon streamed The Spongebob Musical a while back and we got a recording of it since we wanted to watch that."
"You wanted to watch that," Remy corrected, smirking at him.
"Trust me, you'll enjoy it, too. I have it on my phone, I could get that hooked up to the TV pretty easy."
"Ugh, I guess. Ghostly Apple products these days..." Remy paused. He pursed his lips, and then moved his sunglasses to the top of his head. "Hey- speaking of, weird question. Do apples have cyanide in them?"
"Do apples... uhm, I think they do, in the seeds. You probably used them when you were alive to- wait, why do you ask?"
"Only curious," Remy got out his phone and began typing something. Emile stared at him for a moment, and then his eyebrows furrowed ever-so-slightly. Suspiciously.
