Hot on heels of jessica, you burst back out into the secret passage beneath mark's mansion "y/n, wait up!" said coby , coby drags you to a stop, red-faced and gasping for breath "we've been......running....for like...half an hour!" said coby "we...we have to hurry!" you said . you steady yourself against a doorframe, pulling in deep lungfuls of air. "jessica is going after my grandpa! and chad's with him! every second we wait--" before you could "but we don't even know how to stop her! you already tried freeing her from the lake, and it only made her worse!" said cory "that's not entirely true . she's lucid now . that means she can be reasoned with" said tyler "y/n already tried that too!, grandma doesn't really seem like she's in the mood for listening anymore!" said garret "we don't have a choice we have to try" i said "jessica is out for blood and the society aren't the only people in dallas . it's about to get very fire and brimstone around here" i said "we're the only ones who have any chance of stopping her and if we don't try alot of innocent people will die , including my brother" i said "are you with me?" i asked. all your friends nod , resolute "then let's do this" i said . 

Pressing through the cellar, you come out into mark's mansion.....and find it littered with robbed corpses! "oh god...." said cody . you wander through a scene of carnage, bodies slump over tables and dangles from railings...and every single one has a marlinspike through it "jessica....did all this?" said garret "wow, she really not messing around, is she? how the heck do you reason with this??" asked cody , there was an awkward silence. your group makes their way out of the mansion , careful to step around the bloodied bodies. as you hurry across the grounds outside mark's mansion , the sun begins to rise over the water "assuming jessica makes a direct flight toward town , we have to cut across the lake to catch up with her!" said tyler "yeah , but grandpa took the boat when he left with chad!" said garret "we can use one of mark's ! he's got, like, a million of them!" said coby "doesn't he dock them at the marina, though?" asked cody "not the small ones!" said coby smiling "he keeps them tied up at the end of his private dock" said coby "lead the way!" you said.

Before long, you're skipping across the water, the prow of a speedboat cutting through the dense fog. "jeez, what is with the weather!? i've never seen the fog get this thick! i can barely see the front of the boat!" said tyler "i don't think this is natural" said cory "it's not , this is jessica's doing , i'm sure of it" i said . suddenly , you hear the unmistakable sounds of screams "it's coming from the town!" said cody "we've gotta help them!" said garret "i'm on it!" said tyler .ty guns the engine , sending the small boat rocketing across the water . you hold tight to the handrail , wind whipping through your hair. suddenly , a dark shape butts up out of the mist, your boat headed on a path for collision "tyler, look out!!" i said  "oh, snap!" said ty , tyler yanks hard on the wheel, jerking boat out of the path of the obstacle just in the nick of time!. "good eyes!" said tyler "good reflexes!" i said . you lean over the side of the boat as you speed past the dark object, trying to discern what it could have been. "is that....a car!?" i said  "what the hell is a car doing in the middle of the lake!?" said cory "i...i don't think we're in the middle of the lake , you guys..." said coby "what're you---WHOA" said ty . you're all thrown backwards in your seats as tyler maneuvers the boat around another unexpected object. then another. until finally the shapes  on the horizon dissolve into a blood-chilling sight... "my god...." said cody "the town, it....it's completely underwater!" said coby "damn it! WE'RE TOO LATE!" i said

As you take in the flooded vista before you , your hand moves instinctively to cover you mouth..."oh my god..." you said , "i..i don't understand. dallas has never flooded like this, not in all my years of living here . it isn't even raining!" said cody . your hands coil into a shaking fist. you punch the rail of the boat , outrage boiling within you. "damn it, jessica.." i said "y/n look!" said coby , you follow where coby is pointing and see pockets of people, stranded on upturned cars and floating debris, monsters in the water snapping at them like sharks! in the middle of the chaos , a single swimmer is trying to reach the safety of a floating log. a sickly blue-green light starts to emerge from the depths beneath her... "hey! hey , look out!" said cory "they will pay.....they all will...PAY!" said jessica and erupts from the water, flying out into the mists! in her wake , more creatures rise up from the surface, surrounding the solitary swimmer! "AHHHHHH!" she screamed . she's dragged under by the monster, blood and bubbles gurgling after her! "NO!" said tyler , tyler tries to vault over the side of the boat, and you and cody have to wrestle him back! "we've gotta save her!" said ty "it's too late! she's already gone! you're gonna get yourself killed!" i said  "there are people dying out there!" said ty
