*Y/N POV*

You lift a heavy slat of wood from a broken stall and bring it down hard on the creature's spine! "that was crazy! it almost got you!" said garret "i know right!" you said , you take a step back and your arms windmill as you almost lose your balance over the edge of the pier , garret takes your hand and steadies you "the water! Y/N LOOK OUT!!" said garret , powerful jaws close around your leg and yank you off your feet , and pulling you into the water! "AHHHH!" you scream , fingers straining , as the grip on your ankle threatens to pry you loose! , garret stands tunned on the pier , shock momentarily paralyzing him! "garret! help me!" i said , garret snaps out of his daze, clenching his fists with determination "NOT AGAIN. i'm not letting you take my friend again!" said garret , with a running start , garret jumps right into the water , disappearing right under the surface! "garret!?" I said . All at once , the monster's jaw unclenches from around your ankle , and the creature is pulled into the churning water.

You scramble back up the pier and turn immediately to look for signs of garret, but the water is totally dark . "come on gar come on!" i said to myself .  A second passes . Then another . The bubbles dissipate from the water's surface , and there's no hint of life in the water "no...please gar!. i can't loose you too! , come back to me..." i said . Then you a dark shape rising from the depths , fast , faster until...."hah!" "GARRET!" i said , you haul Garret onto the pier , he collapses onto the concrete , coughing up water. "gar! are you okay? say something!" i said "am .... i....*cough* dead?" he asked "i don't know what i'd do if you'd..." ii said  "hey..." gar reaches up a weak hand and touches your cheek "you can't rid of me that easy" he said smiling , you laugh and give him a tight hug , you both get up "but seriously , that was insanely dangerously , why'd you do that!?" i asked "because i couldn't let what happened to blake(ty's cousin) happen to you, i am done being helpless while the other people that matter most to me get hurt." said garret "well, you did good . i am incredibly proud of you!" i said "thanks" he said.

You both look around "come on! we have to get chad and get outta here" i said , here and there you spy your friends amongst the crowd fighting of monsters and protecting civilians "where did you last see him?" asked gar "by the stage! but that was an hour ago! it's impossible to fi-" "look!" said gar , you turn to see tia standing at the end of the dock , standing utterly still , apparently oblivious to the chaos around her "tia! TIA!" i scream , you and gar run to her . she's staring off into the water , her face pale and empty "tia! where is chad!?" you ask tia but no answer , "she's completely out of it!" said gar , you grab tia by the shoulders and bodily shake her "snap out of it tia!" i said , tia blinks rapidly and looks up to you , her eyes clearing "y/n?" she said "where is he tia? where is my brother?" i asked her "he....he..." tia's lip trembles as she points out to the turbulent waters of the lake. "he's gone. she took him" she said "WHO DID!?" i asked , but you already know . Before tia says another word , you know that your worst fears have come true. "the ghost...the monster....took chad" she said
