SUMMER

Betrayal. Anger. Hurt. Shock. Those words are still not enough to explain the emotions that I'm experiencing.

I looked at Isaiah that has that 'I will kill you for hurting my wife' look on his face and tried to squeeze a smile for him.

He probably noticed the scratch on my shoulder from the tunnel, and my swollen, reddish wrist.

I got nervous when his cold gaze turned to Navy.

"Ah! Let me introduce you to my newest ally. I assume you already know each other, hmm?"

Naagaw kaagad ng matandang lalaki sa isang gilid ang atensyon ko ng bigla itong magsalita.

Who is he? Is he the mastermind of this mess? I assume he is.

"But, just in case that you already forgot his name, Isaiah. This is Navillera Salvador. My assistant. Navy for short." He has this irritating grin plastered on his face while he spat those words at Isaiah who remained emotionless.

"Now Navy, meet my old friend's son, Isaiah." He continued slightly enjoying the moment.

"Well, its quite touching that you're still considering me as your old friend."

A familiar, masculine voice roared into the place after some time.

All of our eyes turned to the man who spoke and my whole system got shocked when I saw my husband's father on the scene.

Humingi ba ng tulong si Isaiah sa papa nya? If he did, that's a good news! Masaya akong malaman na unti-unting lumalapit ang loob ni Isaiah sa papa nya.

The old man fully walk inside the mansion and stood beside his son.

"But, I'm sorry--well, not really sorry, to say to you that, I've already ended our friendship the day you tried to kill my son." He said seriously while I got surprised because of what I've heard.

Which one? Isaiah? Or his brother?

I looked at Isaiah and saw him turned his gaze away from mine.

Guilty? I think so.

When? I am completely clueless.

I tried to look at Navy but, he doesn't seem to care even if I know that he feels my piercing gaze from his side.

I couldn't understand why does he have to go this far. Or maybe I wouldn't understand. Because my mind is refusing to understand.

The old man moved his hand and gave a sign to his dogs.

I got scared when three muscular men walked towards my direction. Looking so serious.

I took a step behind but, I stopped when my injured hand hit the hand cuff that made my system almost shout in pain. God! Having an injury hurts so bad.

They brought out a key and set my hand free from the hand cuff.

I immediately run beside Isaiah but before I could do that, one of the men caught my wounded wrist and held me to prevent me from escaping.
