We'd eventually destroyed the last of the machine horde that attacked us. I had glanced back at Seven as he hit the button to open the door of the elevator. Yet when he did, we were shown the empty shaft.

"Where is she?" I demanded it. 2B had already left us to find 9S in this white city.

"I didn't send it up, damn it." the male operator snapped back. We did this a lot.

"I told you this was stupid!"

"Shut up, One," 7O growled, pressing the down arrow.

We should have just left her in the camp. Told her nothing about this. Fucking Commander.

That's right, it was the Commander's fault. She told 2B to inform (Y/n). She told Seven and me to take her out of the camp to find Nines. It's her fault that the human is gone.

Wait... wait. I'm just jumping to conclusions. Maybe she's fine. Perhaps the button just got hit or something. Yeah, that's reasonable.

Yet, that wasn't the case. When the door open, we were hoping to see her, but all we saw was emptiness.

"Fuck!" I huffed out, "I bet those fucking machines got to her."

"Adam, Eve, and Luciel?"

"Who else! It's not like the tin cans know how to work elevators," I shot back. Seven shook his head.

"I'll stay here and help 2B. You go and find her." 7O spoke.

"How? It's not like she has a black-box I can detect."

"Her heartbeat will show on your scans." the male unit returned, "In any case, you know what to do."

I scoffed once before waving my operator bye and hopping into the elevator. Of course, I knew what he meant by 'you know what to do'. Something so dangerous turned out for the worst.

I know they won't kill her. But, what the hell are they planning to do to her?

I heaved a sigh, I had this gut feeling this would happen. 9S was the perfect target. Get him and you might as well as have (Y/n) in your grip. Why didn't they find it odd that Nines was located down there? Down an elevator in a cave in the carter?

When the elevator opened, I was welcomed with more machines. I took care of them without another thought before I had my pod scan for any trances of (Y/n).

"Heartbeat found." my male-sounding pod announced, "Exact coordinates impossible to pinpoint. Direct: the abandoned factory."

"So that's where you wanna go. Let's play then."

It hadn't been long since I left to find our missing human. I was still amused at the fact that the trio had the audacity to try something like this.

Through, I had to praise them. They undermined us somehow. Even though, they shouldn't have.

Our Commander is always so keen. Why was this so different.

As I walked along the path toward the factory, Pod 150 chimed with a transmission. "Attention all units: the machine lifeform known as Adam has been defeated."

One down, two to go.

"We are currently, also, in a state emergency. The female human known as (Y/n) is currently missing. If any android sees her, bring her safely and immediately back to the Resistance Camp."

With that, the transmission ended. I understood that it's important to all androids, but some of these androids had some... ulterior motivates.

"I have to get to her first... for 9S and her safety." I resolved out loud as well as in my heart. Or whatever one would call it for an android.

Then, maybe I should have a little chat with that bitch.
