As I slipped out of the room that we held (Y/n) in, I couldn't help but push myself into the door and listen. It was silent until that door slammed open to the neighbouring room and until I heard an aggravated voice harshly speak to the human girl. I would be lying if I said that the android calling her 'stupid' didn't agitate me but I was surprised when (Y/n) lied to them.

Saving my skin, huh? How sweet.

I felt myself smirk before it fell as I walked out of the room to get to our rendezvous spot. It was easier said than done as my path was blocked by two other androids... yet, even then, it was surprisingly easy to get around them since they weren't paying any attention.

I took the stairs up to the roof and, low and behold, Eve was there waiting. "I'm here~!" I cooed as I strolled up to him with a big smile on my face.

"Good, I was getting worried." the male spoke as his eyes never shifted from below us. As I looked down, I saw the group of androids walking out with (Y/n).

"It's a shame they ruined our fun," I commented, frowning.

"They don't seem right, they aren't taking her to that camp." Eve voiced, completely ignoring my whining.

"What are you―oh... that's strange."

"Our intel always tells us that the androids take her to the camp."

"Perhaps they aren't with that organization anymore?" I questioned, stepping away from the edge.

"As in, they left? But, why?"

"Look, Evie, I don't know. What? You think we should go... save her?" I chuckled, as a smirk returned itself on my lips.

"I don't think that's necessary. That freak is already on it," the white-haired machine finally looked away, walking with me as we headed to our hideout.

"Another shame."

It wasn't long until we reached the place we stayed, on top of a roof that seemingly belonged to a car parking lot. We waited and waited to hear from Adam but to no avail―nothing was coming through.

"You don't think he...?" I began, my voice falling off before I finished the sentence.

Eve jumped up from his chair, knocking it back a little. "No! Luciel, you know he wouldn't!"

"Brother, it was just a thought..."

"A thought that isn't true!"

However, after he concluded his statement we were given the information we really didn't want to hear. This caused Eve to lose it as all I could do was be silent.

"No, no, no, no, no!" the older machine repeated as he sat there at first having fallen back down after hearing the news. "Why...? Why did you have to die...?"

He... disconnected from the Network...

"It's not fair! My brother..." Eve continued, bashing his fists down on the table causing a candlestick holder to fall over.

But why did he―he wanted it to risk it, didn't he?

I was slightly frightened out of thought as my older brother swatted the fallen holder off and he stood up, hitting the enormous table once more. "Damn them! I'll kill them... I swear I'll kill them all!"

One gone and the other... now lost to insanity.

And, that was the last thought I recalled having as my brother consumed my mind, letting madness overtake me. As for everything else? I remembered tad bits of it.

Like Eve saying something about a group of machines in the factory.

Or, him saying something about attacking a village of machines who cut themselves off.

Or, attacking that camp―the one that sheltered the human―directly.

And, just like that, here I was being forced to lead an army of machines to attack the camp. That, and to find the human, what Eve wanted with her at that moment, I didn't know.

When she wasn't there, Eve released me from his control―why? I didn't know that either. But, I wasn't released from my rampage as my own revengefulness over the death of my brother fueled me. It wasn't long until I tracked down the human and her group of androids. And, with the power of the Network, I wanted nothing more than to tear the androids apart.
