As we trudged back to the entrance, I couldn't help but take notice of (Y/n)'s tiredness. She's still a human and we've been roaming around endlessly for the past two hours by now. I glimpsed around for a second and then an idea hit me; why not show her the best view at the park? She would surely love that.

I picked up my pace to be next to 1X, tapping him on the shoulder. "What?"

"Do you mind if I take (Y/n) somewhere... by ourselves?"

"Fine." I was stunned by his bluntness. "As long as you protect her. Which, I know you will. Two and I'll take 32 back to camp, she wants to go to the forest, so we'll be heading that way."

"Awesome,"

"Yeah, yeah, you owe me though."

"Got it," I breathed before falling back to where (Y/n) was, clutching her hand, "Hey, I wanna show you something."

Her eyes overflowed with that curiosity that I so use to seeing by now that I could accurately take that as a 'yes' without her saying anything. I picked her up, bridal style, then commenced off in the direction of the castle.

"So, is this a secret, or can you tell me?" she questioned as her arms coiled around me.

"Ahh, let's say it's a secret 'til we get there," I answered with a grin.

"Boo... fine."

Once we got to the stairs of the castle, I slid my blindfold over her orbs which provoked her pout. Of course, I didn't put her down; one because we need to go upstairs and two because I frankly didn't want to.

"Are we there yet?" she asked, adorably.

"Actually, yes, we are~" I chimed, setting her down and unfastening my mask from her head. When I lifted it, I heard her gasp out of audible astonishment.

"Oh my god, this is so pretty!" she exclaimed, hopping up and down like a happy fawn.

"I'll take that reaction as my prize," I hummed, sitting down on the ledge, allowing my feet dangle from the castle's, now, fenceless balcony. I peeped up at her, patting the spot next to me, "I won't let you fall, I promise."

(Y/n) nodded, sitting down next to me. She kept one of her legs up on the ledge as she dangled the other. I drew her into my side, leaning my head onto her's.

We observed the fireworks in silence, taking in each other's presence and the beauty of the scene in front of us. I could feel her unwinding in my arms, which is one thing that I was hoping would happen. She appeared so tired and tense earlier after all.

"Nines, I have a question for you," she conversed, belatedly breaking the serene silence that engulfed us, "Are all machines bad?"

Surprise took over me first as I thought up an answer for that very question. However, I couldn't. I knew there were various machine lifeforms on Earth that were peaceful and good like the ones in Pascal's Village and here in the amusement park. But, they essentially weren't all bad.

"Well, no. They aren't all bad per se..." I clarified slowly, "There are good ones with good intentions... like Pascal and his village. And, the machines here. Heck, even Eve and Luciel─not quite sure about Adam."

"Was this awareness something I caused?"

Something she caused?

"Oh, like when you called us all humans? I mean... that's part of it." I acknowledged, gazing down at her slightly as I began to play with her hair. "I believe some of us androids figured out one way or another that not all of our enemies are truly bad. It's like we have..."

"Mindless resentment? A resentment that you didn't produce on your own but it was instead programmed into you?" (Y/n) said, completing my thought. She was right on the mark with it all.

And, this is why I adore you, (Y/n)... scratch that. This is why I love you.

"Precisely," I nodded, "Did 32S tell you about this?"

"Well, no. I was just speculating... making that said speculation with what you told me before," she admitted, making me chuckled a bit.

"That's was a great speculation, though."

We fell back into a peaceful silence, regarding the clown machines from overhead and the fireworks. However, I couldn't take my mind off of... her. Even if she was right next to me. I want to confess to her, but isn't that abnormal? I'm an android and she's a human.

"Nines?"

"Hmm? What's up?" I questioned.

"Thank you," she hesitated, "for everything."

"W-what are you talking about, (Y/n/n)?"

"You and the other androids do so much for me... you especially. You take the time out of your work to spend time with me, you make sure I'm happy and you care for me the most. That means so much to me."

My orbs were wide by the time she concluded, that all I could do was grin so softly at her and nuzzle my head against her's. "I want you to be happy, no matter what," I vocalised once I discovered my voice again. "I mean, you're my whole world at this point."

I felt her immediately tense up at my words, which made me start to panic slightly. "You didn't like me admitting that, did you? I'm sorry, I didn't-"

But, just as I commenced to panic outwardly, she kissed me. Or that's what I think humans called it. Though, as swiftly as she did, she ended it. "Nines," she pronounced my name softly, cupping my cheek, "I wanted to say that I love you, but it seems you beat me to it─just with different words."

She really loves me? I-I'm not dreaming this, am I?

"Did I break you?" she urged, seeming bewildered and a little fearful at the same time.

"N-no, you didn't. I promise you didn't." I rejoined, "I'm just a little shocked, that's all. But, that's a good thing."

I pulled back off the edge before pulling her into my lap, resting my chin tenderly atop her head as I enclosed my arms around her tiny frame. "I love you, (Y/n/n). And, I vow to protect you with every I have and with every I am."

"You sound like a knight," she giggled, "But, I love you too."

"I'll get you back to the camp a little later. Yet, right now, it's my time with you." I lastly added, kissing the top of her head.
