A/N: Welp. Definitely think that the response to last chapter was the biggest response I've had on here. Thank you all so much for the votes, comments, PMs, and views. It means so much that you all appreciate and love these characters as much as I do. Thank you for trusting me with them and this journey :)

On Monday morning, while Alison and my mother went to go get their nails done, I packed up all of our stuff from my room and secretly packed it into the back of the car. The previous few days had been fun and engaging and exactly what we needed to feel like we were one heading into the new year, but I wanted the initiation of our first full calendar year together to be special.
So when I picked her up from the nail salon a little before lunch, I knew that all my planning was going to pay off, "I'm excited to see what you have planned for tomorrow, sweetheart." Alison was speaking to me, but looking down at her new acrylics. A short, sparkly nude that I figured could match just about anything.
"I think you're going to enjoy it. I've been working on it little by little since you mentioned coming for this week." My right hand rested in her lap as both of her hands wrapped around it giddily.
"In October?"
"Stuff books up quick around here, Ali. But I didn't really start fully planning everything out until my parents left Baltimore. So, just about a month."
"That's so exciting! Can you at least tell me when we're going tomorrow? Let my brain prepare for the timing of it all."
I smirked at her from the corner of my eye, "Who said we were going tomorrow?"
"But tomorrow is –" And as if on cue, Alison realized that we were not heading in a direction she recognized, "Emily, where are we going?"
"A short vacation." I slid my hand out from between hers and casually turned up the radio, "Listen to music. We'll be there soon."
About 15 minutes later, we pulled into the long driveway of the resort that would be our home for the next two nights. Alison's eyes grew wide as she scoured the outside from the windows waiting to see exactly where we were headed. Valet opened the doors in front of the hotel as they greeted both of us.
"Welcome to the Gaylord Texan. Are your bags in the back of the vehicle?" I passed the keys to the valet after opening the trunk to pass our bags off to the bell hop who followed us inside.
"Ali, welcome to one of my favorite hotels in Dallas." I kissed the side of her head as we entered the expansive hotel filled with 10 different restaurants, wine bars, and shopping. "We'll be here until Wednesday, so soak it in."
"Was this necessary?"
"Of course it was." I smiled, bringing our conjoined hands up to my mid-back as I stepped up to the counter to check-in. "Check-in for Emily Fields. It should be for two nights?"
After a few clicks, the concierge began speaking again, "Yes, Doctor Fields? I have you both book in one of our Executive Suites through Wednesday. Along with your room, I also see a number of reservations included in your stay."
"Yes, that's correct. Could you print those for me? I'm still trying to keep some things a surprise for this one." I felt Alison tuck her head into my back as I continued, "Can you tell if there have been any adjustments in anything that I requested? I haven't received any calls, but if we need to rearrange anything, we can."
"It doesn't appear so, but I can ensure that we call you should there be any adjustments. All requests in your reservation also appear to have been taken care of in your room. Is there anything else you need us to bring up to you all?"
