Chapter 4 || Eaten Heroes?

Another morning, the same news in Social Studies. Just watch the news for an hour. The whole hour. And write a report on it for homework. We all watched, bored to death. Suddenly, something got my attention.

"The Heroics have been called back into action!"

"WHAT?!" we all exclaimed, staring at each other.

"Here comes Miracle Guy!"

We watched as Miracle Guy soared through the air.

"And here comes MARCUS MORENO!"

"GO DAD!" I cheered.

"AND HERE COMES MS. VOX! SINGING HER SOUL!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" Ms. Vox sung as she cruised over the cameras.

We all cheered again.

"They've spotted a new enemy! And it's a giant robot!"

The giant robot was crashing through the city.

"Oh my gosh!" I screamed.

Suddenly, the giant grabbed Tech-no right out of the sky and shoved him straight into his mouth before Tech-no was gone in a split second, right down that robot's mouth. Wildcard gasped.

"DAD!" he yelled.

"Oh my gosh!"

"D-Did that monster just eat Tech-no?"

"WELL WHAT ELSE DID IT DO?! GIVE HIM A FRENCH FRY?!" I exploded.

"BASIC MANEUVERS!" Lavagirl yelled, swirling to the side as the hand almost grabbed her.

All the Heroics clung onto each arm, trying to tie it to the buildings to stop it from getting them. No use. As Sharkboy almost managed to punch the monster in the face, the monster shook free of Lavagirl, Invisi-girl, Red Lightning Fury, and Crimson Legend, grabbing Sharkboy and shoving him down his throat. Guppy screamed.

"THEY ATE SHARKBOY!"

"NO CHIZZ SHERLOCK!" I yelled at the TV.

Then, Miracle Guy attacked. He punched and he kicked. Invisi-girl went invisible and we didn't know where she went. Suddenly, Miracle Guy bonked into thin air and both hands of the monster went around air and Miracle Guy. Invisi-girl was visible now as they were both shoved down the monster's throat.

"THEY ATE INVISI-GIRL AND MIRACLE GUY?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!"

"A MONSTER IS ROAMING THROUGH THESE CITIES, CRASHING DOWN BUILDINGS, EATING OUR PARENTS, AND YOU'RE ASKING US WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" I screamed at the TV.

"Lavagirl--" Red Lightning Fury began but the moment's distraction got Lavagirl blasted out of the sky and into a car, which crashed into everyone else on the highway.

The monster reached down the pluck her up but Dad yelled.

"YO MONSTER! COME HERE AND GET ME!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!" Ms. Vox sang.

"Yeah! Teamwork! That'll get them victory!" the news reporter yelled.

They all began to team together, fighting the monster as a whole. But then, the monster opened his mouth and swallowed them all.

"OH MY GOSH!" the news reporter dropped her coffee.

"THAT'S ALL?!" I screamed as the TV went back to a different channel, "THAT THING ATE OUR PARENTS AND THEY SWITCHED TO A DIFFERENT CHANNEL?!"

"No, they didn't switch," Wildcard pointed at the TV, "The lady just fainted."

"Oh... okay..." she said, disoriented, "This is... awful news. All the heroes... are dead. It's all up to the Junior Heroics now."

"Oh. And that's what we get for waiting for you to SLOWLY wake up from your nap!" A-Capella sang, destroying the TV.

"I know what review I'm gonna write," I growled, staring at the paper and beginning to write... interesting words.

This TV display of that monster EATING OUR PARENTS has gotten my blood boiling. It's a very awful display and the comments that lady was making were very unhelpful. I believe it's mandatory that I escape this school with my friends, hop onto a spaceship, ride off to whatever planet or area this 'monster' is at, and KILLING IT FOR KILLING OUR PARENTS!

"Guys. We've gotta leave this room. Those creatures are probably gonna come for us after so there'll be no heroes left."

I heard a roar.

"Yeah. Now. Wildcard! Can you teleport us home?"

Suddenly, teachers and paparazzi burst into the room.

"WHAT THE--" Wildcard started.

"Wildcard! We've gotta go!"

Wildcard nodded and I held onto his arm.

"TELEPORT!" he yelled and we were gone.

It was a moment's blackness before we were all of a sudden at home.

"Okay. We've gotta bring stuff with us. Tons and tons of water for Guppy," I put the things in a backpack, "There. That's a luggage full of water.

Guppy grabbed the luggage.

"Some first aid..."

Wheels motioned to the new backpack he had on his wheelchair, "Put it there."

I stuffed the backpack and looked around more frantically.

"Oh! Wildcard! Bracelets!"

He put his on and I put mine on.

"What bracelets?"

"The communicator bracelets."

"But they're super low battery."

"We're not gonna use them that much, but it's good to know I can talk to you whenever," I said before looking around more, "We'll need jackets... maybe even some sunglasses?"

Suddenly, I heard roaring.

"You know what?! JUST GO!"

"We have to figure out how to--"

The window blasted open and I saw metal. The window opened and I saw...

Ojo!

"Ojo!" we all exclaimed.

"Quick! Hop in!" she yelled.

We all crawled in just as the monster practically tore down our house. Ojo closed the spaceship door and we flew off.

"Ojo! How'd you know?"

"You didn't think I didn't know about this either, did you? I watched the news."

"So... do you know where this robot is from?"

"I've heard similar news across the planets. And they call it... Velocrysis."

"So our parents are dead?"

"Yeah. Where else could they be other than that robot toilet?!" Noodles exclaimed.

"They ate our parents."

"I thought robots don't poop."

"Who wants to find out?!" Fast Forward exclaimed, shooting Rewind a look.
