WILDCARD

"Ben."

"BEN?!"

That's when everyone began to flood in. A-Capella came in last, looking... uneasy.

"YOU WERE DATING BEN?!" I screamed again.

"MISSY WAS DATING BEN?!"

"DON'T SAY IT AGAIN!" I blocked my ears before running out of the room, still in shock.

I flung myself onto the bed, locked the door, and screamed into my pillow, turning over and pulling up a picture of Ben on my laptop. Of course, Missy was dating that hottie before she met me. Missy was too beautiful for any hottie to resist anyways! I heard knocking on my door.

"Wildcard? It's Wheels!"

I slugged over to the door and opened it to see Wheels.

"You okay, dude?"

"Does it look like I'm okay? My girlfriend's ex is literally 10 times hotter than me."

He closed the door and I locked it behind him.

MISSY MORENO

I sat down on the couch and shoved my face in the pillow.

"Missy..." A-Capella stroked my back, "It's okay."

"It's not okay!" I screamed, muffled, "He hates me now!"

"He doesn't hate you."

"Then why'd he just run out of the room?"

"He needs time to think about it, okay?" A-Capella sighed, "Boys can be weird just like girls can be weird."

"He's probably just shocked," Guppy agreed, "If you were still dating that Ben dude, I'd even call you a weenie."

"Thanks," I said, looking at the little girl next to me.

"You didn't tell him the full story, did you?" A-Capella sighed.

"He ran out of the room before I could finish," I gave her a look.

"What's the rest of the story?" Fast Forward asked.

"You see... Ben and I... never broke it off."

Everyone gasped. You see, there were still guys left in the room.

"What do you mean you didn't blow it off with Ben?"

"Ben and I never actually broke up," I repeated.

"No, don't say it again!"

"So you're literally still together?" Noodles asked.

"Who said that?" I scoffed, "Ben and I have the worst blood in the history of Earth. I'd never kiss him again in a thousand years--"

"YOU'VE KISSED BEN?!" they all screamed.

"SO BESSY'S A THING?!"

"Don't call it Bessy!" I exclaimed.

"What are you gonna do?" A-Capella sighed after a while.

"I dunno..." I stood up, walking to my room, "Sleep?"

I flung myself onto the bed and locked the door.

"Oh great!" A-Capella sighed, "How am I supposed to shower?!"

I grabbed my phone and began to rapidly text Wildcard.

🤮Wildcard😘

M: Hey, you okay?
M: Wildcard, please don't be mad at me 🥺
M: I'm sorry, Wildcard.
M: Please talk to me 😭
M: I didn't mean to hurt your feelings if you got hurt 😔
M: Wildcard answerrr
M: If you're mad at me I understand but please just answer me 🥺

Okay, WOW Wildcard ghosted me. Can't blame him. I was terrible for doing that.

M: It's time for bed. Goodnight.

And unsurprisingly, I got no answer back. So I called in sick for school. Locked A-Capella out our room (yes, I felt terrible, but I'll make it up to her with a nice set-up date with Wheels). Sent every call I had straight to voicemail. Made some calls. Ordered stuff online. And skipped a whole week of school.

WILDCARD

When I woke up the next morning, I got out of my room to see... A-Capella sleeping in the hallway.

"A-Capella?"

She woke up, groaning.

"Missy locked me out of our room."

I frowned, pressing my ear to the door.

"So she didn't make breakfast?" Noodles groaned.

"There's still cake left in the fridge..." Facemaker shrugged and grabbed the chocolate cake.

We cut ten slices and put them on plates. A-Capella sighed when everyone came down.

"I heard Missy call in sick for the rest of the week," she said.

"That's ridiculous!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah, try telling her that," Fast Forward raised her eyebrows.

"What if she's actually sick, though?" Noodles asked.

"Yeah. What if she's telling the truth?"

"She didn't tell the truth to me," I shrugged.

"Wildcard--" Wheels started but I shook my head, "Sorry. Not in the mood."

MISSY MORENO

Once I heard Wildcard and the others leave for school, I unlocked my door and began to cook some bacon as a snack while I made... arrangements. I heard the doorbell ring and I hurriedly picked up my packages. And I called the bus driver.

"Hello, Ralph?"

"Hello, Missy! How may I help you?"

"I need you to accept my friends onto the late bus tomorrow at 6 PM."

"Why?"

"I signed them up for the Junior Sleep-away Karate Club at school."

"What?"

"Yep. Make sure they go."

"Okay..."

"Thanks, Ralph."

I hung up and started unpacking my supplies. It was time to build a guest house for our backyard. Right next to the pool. The workers I had hired to work next to me were here and I smirked, pulling out my megaphone.

"LET'S GET HAMMERING!"

They all nodded and marched off to help me build the guest house. Of course, it had to have glass walls because it'd take too long to build solid ones, but some were made solid. Don't worry, we still had another day to build this.

I heard the doorbell ring again and went to grab the furniture again

I heard the doorbell ring again and went to grab the furniture again. I was turning this into a hideout and a place where we could have dinner on days we wanted to be out in the open. The glass sliding doors made sure of that. I began to get the decorations and of course, stopped to buy some food for us all. Bessy was going out of my life and down the drain.
