Chapter 6 || Miles and Miles Apart

"Found anyway to find them?"

"I don't know... Ojo. Do you have any clues about where we are or what we're doing?" I asked.

She gave me her iPad. I frowned, staring at it.

"Vines..."

I looked around.

"We're in the middle of vines... and we're being wrapped--oh my gosh guys get--"

And we were entangled by the vines. I struggled to take a look at Ojo's iPad, which was on the floor. I stared in horror.

"We have fifteen minutes to get out of these vines before the thorns inject poison into our blood?!" I exclaimed.

"OH MY GOSH WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Rewind screamed.

"Can you rewind time?" I asked him.

"No! My hands are at my sides! I can't move them!"

I struggled, but it only seemed to get tighter. The thorns were digging into my neck. The others seemed to be struggling too.

"Noodles! Can you stretch out of there?"

Noodles tried to stretch, but the vines only got tighter and longer.

"UGH!" he yelled, "No!"

I checked Ojo's timer.

"It's been two minutes already!" I wriggled.

I tried to think of references. What it could be.

"Is this even a plant?!" I wheezed when one got tight, "I have asthma and this sure feels like an attack! And it's not pretty!"

"So this is what an asthma attack feels like?" Guppy asked.

"YEAH! NOW LET'S FIND A WAY TO GET OUT OF HERE!"

Noodles struggled again but it only got tighter and tighter and tighter. I could feel my blood trickling in my shirt as we struggled in vain.

With the Heroics...

Marcus Moreno groaned as he banged his head against the metal walls of the robot's stomach.

"So... we've been eaten?" Miracle Guy looked at Marcus.

"Yep."

"And our children think we're dead?" Lavagirl raised an eyebrow.

"Looks... like it."

"There's a screen..." Sharkboy said, "And it's turning on."

They all looked and saw their children, strapped with thorny vines.

"UGH! THERE'S ONLY THREE MINUTES UNTIL THESE THINGS inject poison into our blood! THEN WE'RE TOAST!" Wheels exclaimed, looking at the clock on Ojo's iPad.

Missy sighed, putting her head back. Suddenly, she froze, looking around.

"What's happening?" Invisi-girl whispered.

"I don't know, but her face seems pretty lit," Red Lightning Fury replied.

Suddenly, Missy went limp and then, lifted her head up. She quickly pulled something out of her belt just as the vines tightened.

"HUH!" she yelled, cutting through her vines, "This is why you always bring a sword with you."

Missy then scrambled to get to her friends, cutting through any vines that attacked her.

"HUH! HUH! HUH!" she yelled, slicing one off as it tried to get her neck.

She sliced through Ojo's vines and Ojo retrieved her iPad and stylist. Missy fought the vines, slashing Noodles free.
