MISSY MORENO

As we sat down at the dinner table, eating pizza and drinking soda while jumping in the pool from time to time, we were having... the best time of our lives so far. We always had the worst luck. Ever. And it was awful, trust me. Guppy began to make a water shark chase us.

"AHHH!" we all screamed, running away from it--well, swimming away--and it bit down on us.

Slo-mo was sitting alone, slowly eating his pizza. I felt sorry for him, so I got up, but then... Fast Forward got up instead, sitting down next to him. So I crawled back into the water and peeked just enough out of the pool to see the two.

"So..." Fast Forward was saying, "Hey... Hey Slo-mo."

"Hey," he said slowly, smiling.

"How's the pizza?"

"Cold."

Fast Forward chuckled and I saw her cheeks flush pink. Wildcard was behind me and I didn't know, so when I turned I barreled into his face.

"AHHH!" we both yelled, startling both Fast Forward and Slo-mo.

"WE'RE GOOD!" we yelled again in unison, "STOP COPYING ME! NO YOU STOP COPYING ME! WHAT?!"

Wildcard eventually pulled me over.

"Slo-mo's bananas for Fast Forward."

I winced, remembering Slo-mo's monkey incident.

"Yeah... don't say that."

"Well, he likes Fast Forward!" Wildcard hissed.

"Least likely couple ever but I think Fast Forward feels the same way," I snickered, "Her cheeks went pink!"

"I'm honestly happy she found someone she likes... but I didn't expect it to be Slo-mo."

"Who'd you expect it to be?" I frowned.

"Noodles--"

"NOODLES?!"

"What about me?" Noodles turned around.

"Nothing," we both said.

"Oh... okay," Noodles said, turning back to the pool noodle and cruising around the pool squirting water out the other end.

"He's strange..." I stared.

"Strange..."

"But we need to get those two together," I smiled.

"But the love story series are over!"

"Oh trust me... this is far from over."

"Missy! The countdown until your five songs launch! It's on TV!" Wheels yelled and turned on the TV.

Lovely, lovely A-Capella had to have my new album get marketed all over the place. I got so mad at her, though. She had even booked me some crazy pants agent who's obsessed with making kids stars. So I had to get this crazy working permit otherwise I can get into huge trouble for like child labor... and some weird account where I can't access the money until I was 18. Stupid rules if you ask me.

"20 seconds!"

We all hopped out of the pool. A-Capella held my hand, squeezing it tightly.

"You should be the one with the album," I stared at her, "You're the singer!"

"Who says I don't have an album coming out?" she raised an eyebrow, "I've got the best songwriter next to me."

To be honest, I felt like A-Capella was more of the singing type. I was more acting, modeling, being quiet about my voice... screenwriting... directing... I don't know, I just don't love my voice. I love A-Capella's. Now she's amazing.

"FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!"

The 'ding' sounded and the albums began to sell.

"EEE!" we all yelled as the confetti and balloons rained down.

"THIS IS AMAZING!" I screamed, hugging A-Capella, "This is just half of what I'm doing for you the time your album comes out," I whispered to her at the last part.

"Aw, Missy!" A-Capella hugged me.

"I can't believe people are buying it!" Wheels looked at the charts, "Web traffic is amazing!"

"Well," I sat down, "we're superheroes. Who doesn't wanna see a superhero sing?"

"It's so weird! I've never heard you sing before!"

"Well, that's kind of A-Capella's thing. I'm not gonna become a singer when I grow up. I'm more of a businesswoman."

"She'll act, even if I have to force her."

"So you're gonna be a model, an actress, and a businesswoman? You're planning this out early!" Facemaker said, making a weird face.

"Why so early?"

"So I can take college early! I've gotta study enough to get a P.h.D degree in dermatology before I can sell products!"

"You're still gonna sing with me..." A-Capella gave me a pout. "Right?"

"Sure, sure," I shrugged and she hugged me tight.

"Well I'm not gonna be a big entertainment chick," Fast Forward rolled her eyes, "I don't want the Heroics taking over Hollywood."

We all celebrated, seeing the fireworks blasting up into the sky.

"WOO!" we yelled, holding up sparkler sticks.

Wildcard pulled me in for a kiss, A-Capella kissed Wheels, and... Fast Forward looked at Slo-mo. Typical. Fast Forward didn't want to share her feelings normally anyways. But looking at their faces, I knew they had to go on a date someday. Rewind raised an eyebrow, getting my vibe. I winked at him and he nodded. Wildcard kissed me again and it turned into a full kissing session underneath the stars. Best thing ever!

We went to school again the next day. And guess who was there to make my life miserable?

Alicia Fisher.

Thank you so much for letting her into my life.

"Oh, hey, Missy!"

"Hey..." I looked away.

"No! Stay!" she pulled me away from the room.

"Look, Alicia. I don't mean to be rude, but I need to get to--"

"Let's get to homeroom!"

"Alicia I don't have homeroom with you--"

"It'll be fun!" Tara and Anna said simultaneously.

"Guys, I have homeroom over there! I'm not in the same homeroom as you three."

"So? You can switch!"

"No... I'm a Heroic. I can't switch."

I turned to walk away when Alicia came up behind me and whispered in my ear.

"Warning. Remember."

And she walked away. Like that. Wow. But as I looked into Wildcard's eyes and met my friends' gazes, I knew that I was safe. With him. Because no matter how hard Alicia tried, this time, I had support. So when she knocked me down, they'd always be there to help me up. Because they were my friends. And friends don't hurt each other.

They love each other.

Suffer for each other.

Cherish one another.

And that's what makes a true friend.
