The 12 Kizuki. The 12 strongest demons out of them all.

They were split into the Lower and Upper Ranks. For centuries, the Upper Ranks haven't changed; while the Lower Ranks constantly been changed. Due to the Lower Ranks always being replaced, Muzan disbanded the Lower Ranks.

Everything changed for the Upper Ranks and the Demon Lord when the Upper Moon 6, Daki, and Gyutaro, were beheaded. One by one, the Upper Moons slowly we're beheaded. All in the presence of one person.

Tanjiro Kamado.

Descendant of Sumiyoshi Kamado. A close acquaintance of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, and a user of the Breath of the Sun. Tanjiro was definitely trouble for Muzan. This is why Kokushibou, the Upper Moon 1 was sent to deal with the boy. He of course didn't know that this would change his life entirely.
