"Was I interrupting something?" He says while walking doudbtfully to me.
"No, no, not at all. That's my personal guard, he was talking security measures." A flood of relief washes over him for some reason.
The only reason I'm lying about this, is so that I don't get Elijah in trouble and ruin their plans.
"Oh ok, great. Um I wanted to inform you that dinner is served downstairs, however if you'd rather eat in your room that's perfectly fine."
"No, actually, I think I'll go" I wasn't so certain if I wanted any human interactions, but I needed to know more about this place and family so I'm more successful at murdering him.
"Um ya sure, so I'll wait for you, it's in 10 minutes" he takes a couple of steps back and until I nod, and then he leaves.God, we were about to get caught.
I already had on a simple daydress that I found in the closet this morning, and I didn't feel like changing.
Instead I make more plans on assassinating the prince.
I don't think killing him early on is a good idea, as most probably the security measure are only worse. Waiting for the end of the 10 days isn't a good idea either, what if the murderer is discovered in prior? There'd be no reason for us to stay.
Think Augustine, think.
I mean I could also poison him, that would be easier to conceal.
But what poison is strong enough and where can I find it?I have absolutely no chance in fighting him.
But what if the attack was unexpected. And I gave him no time to react?
When and where though?
Ugh. This was killing me.
I need to stop thinking about this before I go mad
7 minues have passed. This is torture. I've been thinking about Elijah, Fredrick, the quest, everything.
⥞✦⥟
I decide to just get out and go.
Elijah obviously follows me everywhere I go. I keep inching closer to him.
His scent is like a shield to me.There's very few people eating in the dinning room. Most have chosen to dine in their room, I doubt if I've made the right choice.
Looking around the room for a familiar face, I luckily find Fredrick. Sitting alone at the end of the table. He gestures for me to sit near him. I've definitely made the wrong choice.
He was silently eating. Everytime we're around people he acts to cold and detached, but when we're alone it's like he's a different person.
The food tastes so good. Amy is a very good cook, but no way near as good as this little taste of heaven. Especially the chocolate cake. I'm not usually a fan of chocolate, but this is different. It's fudgy and soft in all the right places.
A couple of minutes pass, and I've already finished 2 slices. Fredrick looks up at me and almost chokes on his food at the sight of my hungry ass.
"What?" I ask him slightly embarrassed, while scooping my third piece. "Nothing" he tries to hide his chuckle with a napkin.
"It's so good, you cannot judge me" I plead sarcastically.
"Ya, ya, I'm not" his smile beaming.
"I hate you" I say in a mocking tone while eating a piece of this heaven.Within milliseconds his mood completely changes as a guard whispers something into his ear. He bolts up and whispers something back.
The windows are sealed with some sort of metal. Guards come rushing from the door, Elijah included. He gives me a glance and calms down. Quickly the doors shut behind them.
God what can be happening?
