I go up a hill of sorts to find Farely fighting with swords against Vanessa and Amy. Obviously Vanessa being in the lead.
"Finally she's awoken" she says with heavy breaths as she spots me. "Leave us alone." She gestures to Vanessa and Amy with her sword.
"Augustine Kensworthy, you're in big big trouble."
To that I don't bother replying.
"Now tell me, what stopped you? Do you know how many opportunities you've had? How many shots? And you blew them all out" she walks closer to me, "I believed in you."
I could see the disappointment in her eyes, and honestly, I can't help but feel ashamed myself. She is absolutely correct.
"What stopped you?"I don't reply for a few seconds. Searching for the answer myself.
"Still waiting" she crosses her arms and starts tapping her foot, impatient.
What did stop me?"I've made a mistake alright? Hell, I've made mistakes, what do you want me to admit? That I'm naive, foolish and dumb? Fine, I am all that, what now?" I lash out at her.
"No, I don't want that Augustine! I want you to learn. And I know you view me as cold hearted and cruel, but I swear I just want the best for you." She says, almost showing an emotion.
"Your mother would've been so proud of you. And I just want her to see how amazing of a daughter you are" we both start tearing up at the mention of a yet unsealed wound.
Farely may not show it, but she truly adored her sister. And I know for a fact that she does care, and want the best for me.We both just stand there in silence. She goes to the edge of the cliff and crosses her arms.
I can't help but break the awkward silence. I have so many questions, and no answers.
"Were you the ones who murdered the Queen?"
She frowns as she turns her sight to me.
She pauses for a little bit and say "No" as if it just hit her.
"Who did then?"
"We were the only ones there."
She walks closer to me.Out of all the royals, the queen is the least likely to be hated. Almost everyone one in Kaithdia adores her. Why would anyone want her dead? I think to myself.
Perhaps it was an accident? But I ignore that and focus on other things.
"You were the ones who were searching for me?"
"Who else?" She barks out a laugh.
"Good, at least I don't have a murderer eager for my head."
"I guess."She turns back facing the cliff. "Why were you imprisoned in first place?" She asks.
"Apparently I murdered the queen" I laugh.
"Hmm?" She only says in response. After a couple of minutes of going through all the possibilities in my head, on why I was guilty for the myrder of the queen.
"Do you think someone murdered the queen and drew all suspicion towards me?" I ask about my best one yet.
"Possibly" she replies.
