Augustine's POV:

I wake up the next morning all nuuzzled up in my bed, thinking of all the possibilities on how I got there.
Did I sleep with that man?
God, no no, please.
I try and try to remember what happened last night, but all I can remember after getting drunk is the kiss, and him smiling at me while I'm in his arms.

I take that as a proof that I in fact did sleep with him. I start panicking even more as I remember that I haven't abided by the plan either.

God what have I done? How foolish can I be?

Farley would be so mad if she found out.
I'd have to kill him today.

I get out of bed with a rough plan in mind.

I still have both the dagger and the vial strapped on me.

I practically sprint out of the room.
Elijah, like always, is guarding my door. But today he seems at unease, almost as if he's panicked.
Elijah is never distressed. He's the calmest person I know.

But I don't pay much attention to his angst. I just want to fix my blunder.

"Augustine! Go inside your room. Lock all doors and windoows." He says in a panicked tone.

"Elijah not now." I try to walk past him but he gets a good hold of me. "Let me go" I screech.

"August there has been an attack. Go back to your room. Now!" He yells at me while shoving me inside and locking the door.

Bloody hell.
I throw my dagger aggressively to one of the walls, right next to the fireplace, making the dagger penetrate through the hard stone walls.

I don't think much if ot at first, but then it hit me. Hard stone walls. The blade isn't supposed to puncture.

I throw it towards another wall, confirming my theory. The dagger doesn't even make an indentation on the wall. It only falls to the ground, making a whump as it hits the floor.

Quickly, I scurry over to the fireplace, checking for a latch, a button, or just, something.

I already know there are secret passageways in this castle, there must be one here.
And perhaps if there was, I might get another chance on murdering the prince.

But, I find nothing.
Nothing unusual.
