"My lady," one of mother's guards says to me, "your mother requires your presence. Allow me to escort you."
"Of course."He walks with me to that same room and mother and Fredrick were previously in.
And just like last time, they're both standing almost in the same position.
"Yes?"
"Darling I think it's time we fill you in on our plans, don't you think?"
"Finally" I say
"Come here love." She pulls out a chair for me, but I prefer standing.
"Fredrick." Gesturing to him, he begins explaining.
"You'll act as my prisoner, as if I've captured you during my travels and I'm here to turn you in. We'll then aim for the royal guards. Usually, they're the ones to inspect important hostages, as you-""And I'm considered important?" I interrupt him.
"They think you've killed the queen. Very important in fact."Anyway, I'll attack first, killing the most dangerous amongst them, meanwhile you'll get out of your loosened chains and help me, we'll kill the rest and then aim for the king.
"We'll attack right before midnight, the king sleeps very early, he'll be in his bedroom, we'll choke him to death and use you mother's help to escape.
"If, by some chance, we were to meet the king first, then even better. I'll aim for the guards and you take the king. Growing up he never bothered training, he's as weak as a child."
He looks up at me and say, "Look, I know this is very dangerous, but we need you, could you please join us?"
"You're joking? I love danger."
And truly, there's nothing I want more than a murdering the king.
Mother tries to cover her smile, almost as if she's proud of what I said.
"Thank you. I promise I will not let anyone lay a hand on you." He looks at mother and she nods."But what do we do after?" I ask.
"A civil war." Mother so blandly says.
"And how will you do that? Who will believe?"
"Leave that up to me!"
I scoff and roll my eyes at her secrecy.
"Fine. When will we attack?"
"Tomorrow." She casually says.
"Tomorrow?" Is she losing her mind? "Like tomorrow, tomorrow?"
"Well, we'll leave tomorrow"
"And you couldn't have possibly told me earlier?"
"And what would change? We've trained you enough."
