I turn around to where I've heard the sound.
No one.
"Over here August" a male voice I know all too well says in a whisper.
I spin to the right, until I see Farley, Amy, Gerald and Vanessa crouching in a dark area. Barely visible.Farely aggressively grips my wrist, the rest wave, knowing they won't be able to greet me properly while Farley is this quarrelsome.

She takes us to a nearby tunnel, until we're outside.
I wonder how she knows all these secret places.
"First of, we don't have much time," she says in a demanding tone "so shut your mouth and listen. Since you failed at your mission, we've changed the plan." Elijah appears out of nowhere and gives me a subtle kiss on the forehead, during which Farley gives him a death stare.
"As I was saying," she says while looking at Elijah and faking a smile, she turns back to me, changing her expressions in a millisecond, "You'll need to get closer to the prince, close enough that he trusts to be alone with you, that includes guards. Get him drunk. Killing will be much quicker then.
"And here take this as a backup" she handles me a small poison vial.
"Be careful not to get caught. Can you do it?"
"Um- Yes" while hesitantly taking the bottle.
"Augustine! Can. You. Do it?" She grits.
"Yes" I say, this time sounding less doubtful.
"Good, I believe you can."⥞✦⥟
The rest of the crew leaves us and Elijah alone, so he allegedly 'returns' me.
We were walking through one of the corridors.
"What were you thinking?" He says breaking the silence.
I give him a perplexed expression.
"When you ran away. You could've died August."
"I- I didn't" not knowing what to say.
"You could've"
He seems worried. Almsot hurt.
"I was actually worried about you"
At that he stops.
"Love!" He whimpered "I know you're a badass and I know you're strong, but I don't want to put you in any kind of danger" he steps closer to me "I love you, and I don't want to make this about me, but I cannot tolerate losing you" he leans in for a kiss. But as soon as his lips were three inches away from mine, he notices the scratch in my chin.
"Oh, August, does that hurt" he wipes off some of the blood dripping with his thumb. But we're soon interrupted by heavy footsteps around the corner. Thuds, colliding with the cold hardwood floor.
"Officer Reyes." Fredrik nods at him.
"Your highness," he bows "I was just checking this cut she got""Ooh, let me see" he at first holds an angry expression that soon turns into a worried one as he takes a closer look on my wound.
"It's fine Fredrick, really, it does not hurt" I hold up his arm before it touches my face.
"September, I told you not to go!" He says disappointed.
"Come lets get you checked at the hospital" putting a hand on my shoulder, he dismisses Elijah and we go.
