I felt a gentle hand brush my cheek, shortly after followed by a kiss on the forehead.
I thought nothing of it, perhaps it's just Elijah.
I place my hand on top of his. I notice a ring.
Elijah never wears rings.
Alarmed, I quickly open my eyes.
Mother.
I could feel her touch!
I wasn't as certain that it's just my imagination playing games.
I felt her!
"Mother?"
Tears start to uncontrollably spill from her precious eyes. She smiles and nods.
I knew she never died.
"Mother!" A great sob escaped me as I burry my face into her neck just like I've always done.
I can't believe it's her.
What if my mind is playing games?
What if I'm dreaming?
But no. It felt too real. I couldn't have possibly imagined  all those details. Her hair with lovely streaks of white. Wrinkles beautifully painted on her gorgeous skin.
She is real.
This is real.

We were both sobbing uncontrollably.
I hugged her like my life depended on it.

"It's ok baby don't cry, I'm here" she says as she pulls away from the hug.
Her voice is just as melodic as I remember it.
She starts stroking my face.
"I'm sorry." Her voice barely audible due to the sobs.
"Mother, don't be. I'm sure you had a good reason. It's fine."
At this point, I couldn't care less about the pain she's caused me. I just wanted to make up for all times I've missed her.
She nods and wipes away her tears.
"Come, we don't have much time." She gets hold of my wrist.
"What do you mean mother?"
"We'll discuss this later, I promise."
"I'm not leaving my friends behind."
"Augustine they're coming for you! You won't be able to escape them" she says, furious.
Before I could even reply, she drags me out of the room, still alarmed.

"Mother where are we going" I ask in a whisper.
"Shhh" she shuts me down.
