Going Crazy

A blinding light woke me, sitting up I realized I was in a large room that looked fit for royalty with silk sheets beneath me and large deep green curtains framing a large bay window, everywhere I looked gold and gems glistened under the rays of sunshine streaming through the large skylight in the center of the extremely high ceiling, the large double doors suddenly swung open and what appeared to be a maid carried a tray through followed by an overly large and overly attractive man in golden armor, he looked familiar but I couldn't quite figure out where i had seen him before.

The maid placed the tray on a small table near the window a single chair next to it, she turned and bowed slightly before quietly leaving the room, now it was just me and the familiar man, he stepped forward going down to one knee and bowing his head, "your majesty" I sucked in a breath, that voice I know that voice, it was the voice of the psycho guy from last night, wait the bus! "Where the hell am I? Who are you? why do you look different?" my heart rate was spiking, I had to find a way out of here but I was captivated by the beautiful smile on his face, his hair was much much lighter than I thought it had been almost golden and his eyes were like a warm amber and I could feel myself getting lost in his gaze, he sighed and stepped backwards slightly, "I am Leander Nephus, royal guard..." I cut him off getting impatient, "yeah you said that last night, where did you take me?" He looked at me like I was an annoying fly he wished to swat away, running a hand through his perfect hair, I mentally shook myself stop ogling your kidnapper Clara! "We are in Elphame your majesty" he said it like I should know where it was, why did I always have to attract the crazy ones? I jumped out the bed relieved to find I was fully clothed but shocked to find it wasn't the clothes I chose to wear yesterday, looking down at the long gown that clung to my curves that thankfully blessed my body after my sixteenth birthday I couldn't help but admire the feel of the smooth fabric against my skin and beautiful deep blue embroidery of various creatures, "right Lendor-Leandor..." I puzzled myself trying to pronounce his name "you may call me Leon your majesty" he offered speaking kindly this time, "Leon where is Elphame exactly?" I really hoped we were still in the united states, Alaska I could handle, Mexico yeah sure why not but anywhere else and I would probably freak out even more, he gestured for me to take a seat at the small table the maid had left the tray on, he wondered off a moment returning with another he sat himself opposite me "Princess Claramond, Elphame is the capitol of Faerie, we are currently in the royal palace and you Princess are finally home where you belong" hugh what I hated most about all that he said was the fact that he used my full first name that not even parents dared to call me, "my name is Clara, and I am no Princess I am a runaway from Chicago not royalty of some mythical land, I mean Faerie really you expect me to believe that you bought me to the land of fairies yeah right" I scoffed at him, he may be crazy but I certainly am not, at least that's what I keep telling myself. He looked at me with anger and annoyance before rising from he seat and marching the the doors he stuck his head out for a few moments before opening the door wider to allow more people through, only they weren't like any person I had ever seen before, a small girl no taller than four foot that looked to be in her twenties sashayed into the room she was stunning and if it were not for her height I would of thought her to be a runway model she had the figure and looks, she was followed by an older man who had angular features and pointy ears and finally the maid that had bought the tray in the all stood before me in a perfect line and Leon came to stand by my side "would you be so kind as to show her royal highness your true forms" he said it like a question but with a tone of authority that gave the impression they didn't have a choice, the model like woman stepped forward first she gave a bow and then took a small step forward before disappearing or so I thought at first, something small and fast flew straight at my face I panicked a bit before realizing it was her, she was so tiny with silvery wings hovering in front of me, I looked from her to Leon with shock then the older man stepped forward and bowed, he turned his back to me and beautiful shimmering wings sprouted from his back, flapped them a few times before turning to face me again giving me another bow, I looked to the made next not sure what to expect when suddenly her face started elongate turning into a kind of snout I looked to her hands to find they were forming into large paws and then I done what I do best.

I ran, I had no idea where I was going but I ran zooming past doors until I could an open one leading outside bursting through it I didn't slow my speed, I had no clue where I was or where I was going but what just happened in that room cannot be real, it must some parlor trick that psycho had up his sleeve to trick me and keep me here, I was trying to convince myself of the fact when a small voice spoke close to my ear, "would slow down Princess?" I looked around for the source of the voice and couldn't find it until she was there again the model woman hovering in front of my face, I stumbled to a stop, I truly have gone crazy haven't I? i thought to myself. The small woman fluttered her wings until she was further away and with a faint pop she was stood in front of me in her larger form, "you look you've seen a ghost Princess" she sounded concerned and amused at the same time, I sank to my knees below where I stood, it's not real it can't be real right?
