Chapter 29

AMBER

I walked behind my sister, Lay and Tony as we all made our way to his car. It was parked a little far but we did not take long to reach it and get ourselves inside.

Tony put his music up as he drove out the mall and I put my seatbelt on and relaxed myself in my seat.

Everyone was in a good mood and excited, and I could not relate because I really didn't know what the excitement was about.

Maybe I will understand when we get back to Marcus's house and I actually see what all the excitement is about...

After 10 minutes on the road, Tony parked next to Marcus's car which was close to the garage.

Nothing looked new on the outside and it was quiet just how the girls and I left it when we were on our way to the mall.

Everyone got out the car and we made our way to the main doors of the house.

Tony dapped the guards up before he opened the door and made way for us to walk in.

Again, nothing out of the ordinary except Marcus, his uncle Frank, his dad, his mom, Alex, Ty, my mom, and my dad.....wait a minute..

"Dad!" I said as I ran into his arms. Kim followed and landed in his arms as well, hugging him nice and tight.

I fought tears as I made sure that he was really here.

After a few minutes he slowly pulled away from our hold and kissed the both of us on our foreheads before he wiped away tears from my face that I thought I held back.

"You really here?" I said before I looked at mom to make sure that I was not crazy.

She was also tearing up, and her tears were my confirmation.

"I'm so upset at you" Kim said but not angrily.

She was breaking down, and he gave the both of us a gentle smile before he pulled us back into a hug.

"I told you I was gonna be back" he said and I held him tight again, not wanting to let go.

I was scared he was going to leave again.

"I missed you" I finally said.

"We all did" my mom spoke as she joined the hug.

My dad embraced her as well before he kissed her on the lips and I felt a different kind of comfort.

I missed this, so much...

"You guys lied" Kim said as she pulled away from the hug and looked at Tony and Lay.

"I wasn't lying about Marcus having a surprise though" Tony said and Kim blushed at him before she took her attention to Marcus who was eating some chips.

She made her way to him and wrapped herself around him as she gave him an unexpected hug.

He didn't know what to do at first but then he relaxed and hugged her back.

"Thank you" she spoke and he just smiled before she pulled away and made her way back to our dad.

"Umm, I think we can all relax now, chill back" Alex said and my mom dragged Kim and i into the kitchen with her.

JJ's mom stood by the stove as she stirred what was inside. It smelt good....

"Hey baby" she greeted, giving both Kim and i big hugs.

I blushed at her as we greeted her back and my mom gave me a goofy smile.

"Oh, umm, Mama J this is my mom" Kim introduced.
