CHAPTER 4

AMBER

I woke up bright and early this morning, ready to start my first day at a new school on a good note. Hopping off my bed, I let out a yawn and stretched before I walked into my bathroom and grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste.

As I fiddled with the lid for the toothpaste, I applied a nice layer of it on my toothbrush before wetting it a bit and then brushing my teeth. I took a good 2 minutes brushing through my teeth before rinsing my mouth and starting the shower.

Getting out of my pijama's, I hopped into the shower once the water was nice and warm. I then washed myself clean before I turned the water off and hopped out the shower, wrapping a towel around my body.

Scrambling around my wardrobe for something nice to wear, I decided on my favorite light blue sweats and hoodie along with a pair of nikes that I got not so long. There was no reason for me to dress to impress, so my comfy and cute outfit was gonna do it for today.....

Once I was done lotioning my body, I got into my clothes and then sorted my hair out last. Deciding on an updo, I gave myself a smile before sorting out my bed and sorting whatever needed to be sorted in my room.

Finally I grabbed my bag, my phone, and my wallet before I went downstairs to the kitchen to get some breakfast done.

"Goodmorning" a deep voice let out. I shrieked in fear before I rolled my eyes at the tall figure that was laughing at me.

"Why?" I asked irritated.

"Would've been rude of me not to greet you" ty responded making his way to me. Ignoring him, I poured milk in my bowl before I grabbed a spoon and ate my cereal.

"You mind calling your sister so we can go?" Ty asked as he ate his own impression of a breakfast.

"What is that?" I asked with a disgusted facial expression.

"It's called protein. Did you not hear me ask you to call your sister" he responded as he finished up whatever he was eating. Rolling my eyes, I went upstairs and knocked on Kim's door a few times before she opened it.

"You've got to be kidding me" I let out as I realized that she was still in her sleep wear.

"What?" She asked rubbing her eyes.

"We have school remember" I responded.

"Chill weirdo, I'll be ready in 30" she said before she closed her door.

Kim waking up late wasn't an odd thing. Normally she would drive herself to school, considering we had the privilege of having our own cars to take us from point A to point B, but now we were reliant on a person to get us somewhere and I didn't want this person to be delayed because my sister couldn't stick to schedule.

"Ty, she is only getting ready now" I said as I walked back down the stairs to the kitchen.

"It's Ayt, I'm not in a hurry today" he responded as he leaned on the kitchen counter that was next to the fridge.

"So, how you feel about being in a new area?" He asked.

"Okay" I skeptically responded.

"You really don't have to be like that" Ty said making me giggle at him.

"Instead of checking on me, please tell me how it works around here" I asked really curious.
