Vee Vivis

I sat here in the cafeteria surrounded by my friends as I finally decided to attend class today. It's already Wednesday and I missed the first 2 days of the semester.

It was 5 days ago when I got into a car accident with my cousin Seera. I left the scene miraculously unscathed but Seera fell into a coma after her brain surgery. The doctor said her brain was badly damaged by the impact of the crash. We could only pray for her to wake up sooner.

I feel terrible. I blamed myself for what happened that night.

I was driving home after we left the club with my cousin beside me. She has calm down after the scene that happened at the club where I hit the junior who made her heart weary that night.

Seera was scrolling her phone silently when I suddenly heard a crisp laughter coming from it. I look sideways to see my cousin's face turned into a sad mess all over again. She started crying at once as she continue to view what is suppose to be a an iG live from her phone. The person from the live has a very distinguished laughter that sounded like a child's. He was talking to his friends and giggling most of the time only to burst out laughing from some lame jokes his friends were telling him. If I am not seeing my cousin cry like this, I may say that the laughter from the man on Seera's phone was one of the most beautiful sound I ever heard.

"Seera? What is wrong? What are you looking on your phone that made you cry like that again?" I said now focusing on the road. My head's a little heavy from a couple of beer I drink at the club. It was not enough to knock me drunk at a normal day but tonight was different. Maybe the drama boosted the beer's strenght that it got me really dizzy.

"P' Vee!" She turned to me sobbing. I extended my other arm to pat her head.

"What? Tell me." I asked in a soft tone. She was shaking from crying.

"How dare him laugh like this after all that happened back there! He is evil P'!" Seera look back down at her cp screen and started to type something.

So the guy that is laughing from her phone is that guy Mark whom I punched at the club? He could still laugh like that sounding so carefree after what happened earlier? Is he laughing at what he did? I took a quick glance at her phone again. I was able to see that boy who was trashing at the screen from laughing so hard.

I don't know why but I felt this terrible surge of anger once again. That guy's last glance at me before leaving the scene hunted me once more. Urgh! I'm sick of that boy's handsome face! Was he really that flirty? That last move of licking his lips while looking seductively at me could blow anyone's mind. His eyes paralyzed me on the spot that I wasn't able to move or turn away from them. I can't stop myself from thinking how that bruised lips would taste like if I was the one licking it.

Shit! What am I thinking! I closed my eyes trying to clear my mind when a piercing scream from Seera brought me back to my senses.

I opened my eyes and the last thing I saw was a blinding light from the other vehicle that was seconds away from hitting our car. Then there was darkness.

Seera's parents and my parents were totally devasted. Seera's parents who works at a different province came immediately after hearing the news. But they never blamed me. I don't know how many times I've told them I was sorry. But they comforted me all the same telling me not to be too harsh with myself. Mom and dad insisted for me to take a few days break in order to calm my self down. I cried too much for how many days that I can feel how heavy my eyes are right now.

"Vee? Are you sure it's alright for you to be in school today? You know that I can take notes for you if you decide to take a longer break." Bar patted my shoulder pulling me back from my senses.
