MARK MASA

After a lot of arguments, negotiations and promises exchanged between me and the stubborn senior, I am finally sitting on James' car on my way to the university. My fever has subsided and the body pain minimized after taking another one of those Ibuprofens P'Vee had found in my drawer. I just wish that James could drive a little slower though. Because the pain is lessen but it's still there.

I can't believe P'Vee was pulling something to make me ditch the Univerity Star and Moon contest for the freshman's. I already committed myself to Fuse and Primily and I will never abandon my friends. I had promised them already.

P'Vee was being really unreasonable. At first he seems to care about my body, that I may not be able to walk straight if I go and people would notice. It would cause a lot of trouble and embarassment on my part. But truth be told, he is only using it to cover his real intensions. He told me he's possessive and doesn't want other people to see me play the guitar on stage. Secretly I was a little elated to know of his jealousy. But jealousy is just a lack of confidence in one's heart. How can P'Vee get jealous with anybody when my heart right now only has him inside it? Stubborn P'!

"What the hell are you grinning about ai Mark!" I see James looking at me at his rear view mirror. His face judging.

After P' Vee finally agreed to let me go, I called James to pick me up. P'Vee said he'll go home to get something but never left until James arrived. James was a little startled to find P' inside my room. I introduced the two, wishing silently that James wouldn't be able to remember P'Vee from that night where he punches me at the club.

The two guys seem unhappy with each other as James wasn't able to conceal his skepticism towards the senior. P' Vee was the same, eyeing James in total dubiety until he finally decided to leave us. James and I never talk after that. He just observed me dubiously, creeping me out.

"Nothing." I answered him darting my gaze outside the car window. Even my smile is illegal now? What is wrong with this people! First there was "PVee, and now James? Ugh.

"Are you not gonna say something about it?"

"Say what? About what?"

"Come on Mark. You know too well what I am referring to. Do you honestly believe I didn't recognize that man in your room?" I know this is coming. James isn't stupid. We've been friends since middle school and he knows more about me than anybody elese. He can almost read my facial expressions. That is how great James is! Annoying, but great.

"Then what do you want me to tell you?" I asked looking at his sour expression in the rearview mirror.

"Since when Mark?" A simple question but too difficult to answer. I am not so sure myself.

"Mmmm. For a while." I told him. Like P'Bar, I can't lie to James. There is no secret between the two of us. Just this one. I was too afraid to tell him because I know he wouldn't agree with what I am doing.

"Are you crazy? Then what's the conclusion with that cousin of his? Are you two really dating right now?" He sounded irritated. I can't blame him.

"No. Not dating." I shrugged. He almost turn his whole body to face me.

"What! Ai Mark!" He almost yelled. I bet he almost blurted out that P'Vee and I are just fuck buddies! But James is always the considerate type. He avoids throwing harsh words on me.

"Calm down dad." I rolled my eyes at him and shoving his head to look back at the road in front of him.

I started telling him about P'Vee. I see him gripping the steering wheel of his car too tightly when I get to the part where P'Vee has been a total ass to me. Yes, I was telling this to James like I'm some kid telling his dad someone was being mean to him.
