Falling too Fast and Way too Hard (Levi Love Story)

A Captain's First Appearance

Levi's P.O.V.

It had been three months since Mina was promoted to a Captain. She hasn't gotten in contact with me during any of that time.

"Captain! There are four Titans ahead!" Sakura yelled.

I nodded once and moved faster. As soon as we were about to hook into a nearby building, a loud scream of frustration broke the silence. Sakura and I stopped. A young boy flew around one of the Titans and sliced its neck. Another Cadet, a girl, did the same to the Titan to our right.

I saw something glitter high above the remaining two Titans. Wires of two 3D maneuvering devices hooked into the buildings beside us. Both necks of the Titans slashed open, and blood splattered everywhere. Sakura and I looked at each other, wondering what had killed the Titans.

Two human bodies tumbled to the ground seconds later, and they both slid to a stop.

"Shit! Kuro, we missed!" The girl growled.

"Captain will get them." The boy, Kuro, answered.

A large puff of smoke erupted behind the Titans, and a variant Titan emerged from the smoke. Its eyes glowed a bright blue, and its mouth hung open. I watched as it took a step back, dug its foot into the ground, and launched itself at the two Titans.

"Get 'em, Captain!" Kuro cheered.

The variant Titan held its hand up like a sword, and I gasped when its skin became steel. It sliced through the remaining skin of the two Titans' necks. As soon as the two Titans fell, the variant exploded. A girl older than the two Cadets in front of us landed roughly. She stood up.

"Mina!" Sakura screamed, running to the girl.

I followed her, and as I got closer, I could recognize Mina. She looked the same as she did when she left, only now she had a scar on her arm.

"Rivaille? Sakura?" She muttered.

She looked at me, and her cold eyes melted. She walked closer to me, and I smiled.

"Mina, you look awful." I laughed.

"Says the one that always looks tired." She replied.

She hugged me, and I couldnt help but hold her close to me.

"God, Mina. It's so good to have you here with me." I told her.
