A Shaky Encounter

Mina's P.O.V.

I was getting dressed when Levi, who was fast asleep only a second ago, sat up. The blanket fell off of him, revealing his shirtless chest.

"Where do you think you're going?" He asked.

"Sakura and I are going underground. She wants to feed the poor." I answered.

"You aren't going."

"Levi, I'm not going to be doing anything that's considered hardlabor."

"Mina, you're three months pregnant. You aren't supposed to be doing anything."

I rolled my eyes and threw a shirt at him. "If you're so concerned, come with me."

He got to his feet, and I watched his muscles move when he lifted his arms to pull his shirt on.

"Wait." I told him.

He looked at me, his sleep suddenly back in his eyes. I blushed and lowered my head.

"I like you better shirtless." I mumbled.

"Is that so? Well, I doubt you would like it if the underground women stare at me." He answered.

"They won't stare if they see my blade."

He sighed, got to his feet, returned the shirt to its drawer, and looked at me. I was wearing one of his shirts, and the bandana he usually wore on his head while he cleaned was on my head. He smiled and touched my cheek.

"Anything for you, Sweetheart." He said.

I leaned into his hand.

"Look at the kids, Mina! Aren't they adorable?" Sakura yelled.

"Adorable wouldn't describe these lowlifes." I answered.

Sakura punched my arm as hard as she could. I groaned and rubbed where she hit me.

"I was only stating a fact. The children above ground are cuter." I answered.

Levi coughed, and I looked at him. He was staring at some of the older men here. They had cigarettes at their lips, and they blew smoke toward the children.

"Wait for me here." I told him, laying my hand on his chest.

He looked at me. He had on his Special Forces cape, and it was open slightly. I smiled slightly.

"Hurry back to me." He answered.

I ran over to the men. One of them blew smoke in my face.

"Long time, no see. What brings you here, Sweet Thing?" He asked.

"Could you not smoke around the children?" I asked.

"What are you gonna do to make us stop?" Another asked.

I looked at him. He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. I flinched when he licked my neck.

"D-Dont." I begged.

I looked over my shoulder. Sakura had gotten Levi to divert his attention, so he was no longer paying attention to me.

The man smirked and tried to kiss me. I struggled and moved away. He moved like he was going to grab me, and he cried out in pain when I kicked the space between his legs.

"Mina?" Levi yelled, running over to me. "Is something wrong? Why are you crying?"

I wiped the man's spit from my neck and realized that Levi was right. Tears were rolling down my cheeks. My hands started shaking when one man laughed.

"He was only messing with you, Mina." He chuckled.

"You call trying to rape me messing with me?" I growled.

"Wait! What?" Levi snapped.

I pointed at the man I had kicked, who was rolling on the ground in pain.

"He licked my neck, and he tried to kiss me!" I told him.

Levi's face twisted in anger. He glared at the men who were laughing.

"He tried to rape her, and you're laughing about it?" He barked.

Sakura ran over to me, and she hugged me when she saw my tears. I watched as Levi beat the living hell out of the men. When he was done, he walked over to me. He was breathing hard, and some of the men's blood was on his skin.

I hugged him, and he wrapped one arm around me. I wiped my tears away and looked up at him. His eyes were blank, and his face had no emotion as he stared at me.

"We should go. Sakura, finish up here." He said, looking at her.

"R-Right, Captain!"

He bent down, and I screamed when he lifted me up and over his shoulder. He turned and walked away, and I smiled and waved to Sakura.
