Falling too Fast and Way too Hard (Levi Love Story)

Night One?

Levi's P.O.V.

I looked out of my window, staring toward the forest of giant trees. Mina was still out there. I didn't know if she was alive or dead, and I was hoping that she would be the ladder.

"Captain," Sakura said, appearing in my doorway. "Come and eat."

I looked at her. I could see every ounce of influence Mina had over her just by the way she stood. She gasped, and I realized that I had started crying. I wiped away my tears and started trembling the more I thought about Mina. Sakura walked into my room and sat on my bed next to me. She hugged me, and my silent crying became louder as I broke down into pieces.

Kris and Kyoya walked into my room and stood in front of me. Kris got on his knees and laid his hand on my knee.

"It's alright, Captain." He said. "We'll find Mina. She'll be as strong as she was when she got lost."

I looked around at my squad members. They all had concern shining in their eyes. I wiped away my tears, took a few deep breaths, and slowly got to my feet.

"I'm alright." I whispered. "I just.........needed to get it out. I'm fine now."

We all walked to the meeting room. Sakura had set out plates and food. She walked over to the open window and pulled it shut.

"We don't need our captain crying at breakfast." She smiled.

Mina's P.O.V.

I was covered in ant bites, and my fire had gone out in the middle of the night. I moved the sticks to the side as I crawled out of the hole. I stood up and looked down at myself. My jacket was torn at the end, and my shirt wasn't anywhere near the length it had been.

"Damn ants tore my shirt." I hissed.

Levi's P.O.V.

I went about my usual day routine, trying to keep Mina out of my thoughts. Every time she snuck her way in, I would pause and take a deep breath.

"Please be safe, Mina."
