Falling too Fast and Way too Hard (Levi Love Story)

Why?

Levi's P.O.V.

"I'm sorry." I said as she wiped her tears away. "Did I say something wrong?"

"N-No." She muttered. "I'm fine. I just.......need to be alone."

"Don't say that." I pleaded.

"You don't get it, Levi. I've always been alone, and that's how I want it to stay."

She shoved me to the door and slammed it in my face.

"Mina! You're late!" Haru yelled.

He jumped out of the tree and ran to Mina. She stared at him when he stopped in front of her.

"Where have you been, Boss?" He asked.

"Handling business. Sorry to worry you, Haru." She answered, walking around him.

She came toward me, dropped her 3D maneuvering device onto the ground, and slid into a crouch. Her cape flicked as a reaction to her movement, and I saw specks of blood and stains from where she tried to clean it. I raised my eyebrows at her.

"Any reason why there is blood on your cape?" I asked.

"Killed a cat." She answered.

I moved to the side as she punched the space where I had been, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her toward me. She didn't try to dodge me as I kneed her stomach. When I released her, she rolled to her feet and swiped her leg across the ground, knocking me off of my feet.

She stepped on my stomach and stared down at me. When I looked at her eyes, she blinked and backed away. Haru and Sakura followed her as she walked into the forest.

"What the hell just happened?" One cadet asked.

"I don't know, but that was weird." Another answered.

I got to my feet and stared at Mina's retreating figure.

"Hey!" I yelled.

She stopped and looked at me over her shoulder.

"Why did you walk away?" I barked.

She looked away from me and kept walking. "Why do you have to be so oblivious?"

"What the hell does that mean?"

She turned toward me. "You should have been able to see the reason in my eyes. Be more observant, Captain, and you'll see why I walked away." She answered.
