Horrifying Nightmare

Levi's P.O.V.

"Test Number: 4027. Subject found frozen in ice at outside lake. Frozen with: Husband Levi Rivaille. Subject Name: Mina Rivaille." A voice over the intercom said.

I stared at Mina. She was trapped in suspended animation, her body hovering inside a large and secured tank. Her arms were out to the side. She looked as if she were flying.

"Test Number 4027 is to be taken off of suspended animation. Life Support shall be unplugged. From here on, Mina Rivaille will no longer be a patient." The same voice as earlier said.

I gasped as the lights in Mina's tank shut off. Her body fell to the floor and became nothing more than a heap of crumpled meat. A small light seemed to leave her body. It formed into an angelic shape, and a tear rolled down my cheek. Mina's soul hovered over her body, angel wings spreading from her back. She smiled at me as she began to head toward Heaven.

"Mina!" I screamed, banging on the glass.

She bowed to me and saluted. "It has been wonderful serving under you, Captain Levi. May our love live on within you for a lifetime."

I cried harder as she disappeared.

"MINA!"

I screamed and sat up. My body was soaked in sweat. I looked beside me and stared at Mina's sleeping figure. She rolled onto her back and looked at me.

"Levi? It's still dark out. Why are you awake?" She mumbled, her voice groggy from sleep.

"Nightmare." I answered. "I'm okay now."

She sat up and held her hand to my forehead. Her hand was coated in my sweat when she lowered it.

"Lay down." She murmured.

I did as she said, and she laid on top of me. I wrapped my arms around her, and she kissed me. I moaned softly.

"It's okay, Marshmallow. I'm here." She told me.

I smiled as she kissed the edge of my mouth. "I know you are. Thank you, Mina."

She giggled and laid her head down on my chest. I drew on her back with my fingertips.

"Sweet dreams, Marshmallow." She yawned.

"Sweet dreams, Cupcake."

She fell asleep, and I took a deep breath before I closed my eyes. I drifted off a short time later.
