I knock on Namjoon's hotel room door and wait for anyone to answer. When Namjoon opens the door, I'm met with an annoyed face. He opens the door a little wider, so that I can enter the room. I take a seat on the couch and greet Seokjin who's sitting on the solo seat.
"Ava, do you know why I called this meeting?" His voice is stern and the glasses on the bridge of his nose don't help the fact that he's obviously not that happy with my random interruption at the meeting earlier today. I drop my gaze to my knees and let out a soft sigh. "Yes, because I crossed the line at the meeting."
"No, it's because you left the hotel with Mr. Jeon Jungkook. I'm not saying he's the enemy, but how dare you to spend the evening with our potential partner after you embarrassed us at the meeting."
I look up once I've let his words sink in. "How did you know I left with Jungkook?" My eyes are wide as I make eye contact with Namjoon before looking at Seokjin, who simply looks regretful. "I went to look for you, I wanted to make sure you were alright after the meeting. The offer you put on the table, even though you had no right, is actually much better compared to what we were offering. We were being selfish, not thinking about their needs as we only focused on our own. So, I wanted to let you know we're considering to put your offer on the table tomorrow at lunch. But as I went to look for you, I couldn't find you. So together with Namjoon we went to Jimin to see if he had seen you leave and he told us that he saw you leave with Jungkook."
I stay silent and simply nod. I don't know why Namjoon is so concerned about this.. It's almost as if I'm not allowed to go out with Jungkook.
"Okay, so I was out with Jungkook. He wanted to make sure I was okay as you got mad at me for opening my mouth towards you. So he simply took me out for a drink.. why should it matter to you?"
They both stay silent, so I take this opportunity to say a little more.
"I mean, as far as I know it's none of your business what I do in my own time. The moment the meeting ended it became my own time, so when Jungkook offered to take me out for a drink I accepted. Please explain to me why you didn't want to call him the enemy and pulled this so called 'emergency' meeting to basically tell me I'm not allowed to spend time with whoever I want."
Namjoon takes a seat across from me on a single chair that's placed next to the one Seokjin is sitting in. "Simple. It's like I said, we're trying to make a deal with both Mr. Park and Mr. Jeon, you are not to go out and associate yourself on a personal level with either of them." Seokjin shakes his head as he listens to his younger brother, it doesn't look like he's agreeing with him.. but he doesn't say anything about the matter.
I get up from my spot on the couch and make my way towards the door. "If I want to spend time with Jungkook, there's nothing you can do to stop me. So either accept it and behave like a fucking grown up, or sulk in silence. But don't bother me with your problems."
